~Sunset~
Sunset listened intently to the stallions story. It made him seem a bit older than she had first thought. He certainly had an interesting life. It upset her a bit to hear about how much of his family had died, and wanted to say something but never got a chance to. Now they appeared to be at their destination. So she simply said." I am very sorry to hear about how your mate and love and daughter died, I'm glad I have not had to go through that. It will be nice to meet your family though." She smiled at him and looked around. It looked very nice, and cozy. It was still snowy and not at all hot, as in summer. It still had a cozy feeling to it."It's very nice." Sunset said and stepped forward.

Lassan just gave her a sidelong glance. At least she actually listened ot his story. Most horses never would. "Thank you for listening." he said quietly. Lassan had never really been able to tell anyone before. Sunset just had a friendly face, plus she was very easy to talk to. Perhaps it was because she had spent most of her life alone without anyone to talk to and ejoyed hearing their stories. That could be as well. Either way, Lassan was happy.
"Now I suppose you would a like a tour of your new home then?" he asked her as the continued to move into the main grassland of Liberta. Lassan looked up the sky and caught sight of a raven. He let out a whinny and it came swooping over and landed on his back. "Giltrent, would be so kind as to getting Cosette for me?" he asked. The black bird nodded and flapped noisily away into the cold air.

~Sunset~
Sunset followed along as the walked deeper into the land. Lassan asked her is she wanted a tour. She decided she would rather meet some more horses first and told Lassan."I would rather meet the rest of the herd, and then do some exploring myself. Thank-You." Sunset then paused and looked around. It truly was a beautiful place. Sunset had been so busy looking around she hadn't noticed that Lassan had asked a raven to fetch someone. If she had noticed she would have been inquiring about it. Sunset wasn't sure how to act around other horses, and was a bit embarrassed by this. She only felt comfortable because Lassan had been so kind.

The Arab smiled at her words. He really liked this mare. Of course, if she wanted to meet the rest of the herd, then she would have to search for them. Lassan had not scheduled any herd meetings, so all the horses were scattered randomly through the land. Lassan guseed that her best bet was probably looking for them by the waterfall and caves. That was the warmest, and easiest place to get water and food during the cold months.
Lassan also liked the fact that she wanted to explore the land for herself. She was probably so used to being alone normally that she felt better wandering around alone. "Very well." he said with a bob of his head. "If you ever get confused, call to one of the ravens. They will help you." he informed her.

The young mare had been taking a sip out of the stream when her father's friend, Giltrent, landed on her back and told her that her father wanted to see her. What for? she wondered. With a small shrug, she broke into a canter, heading for where Giltrent said that her father would be waiting for her.
The brindle slid to a halt when she saw her father with another horse. I tlooked to be a new herd memebr. Cosette's eyes lit up as she bounded ofver to them. "Yes dad?" she asked before smiling at the new mare.

~Sunset~
Sunset saw a young mare trotting towards them. When she called Lassan Dad she figured the filly was Cosette. The filly smiled at her and asked her dad a question. Sunset smiled back. The filly looked young, and sweet. Sunset was sure she would enjoy the company. Lassan had said that she could go exploring by herself, but didn't want to leave without saying hello to Cosette. Sunset finally decided to wander just a little ways and began walking a few meters away. She paused every once in a while to paw at the snow to find some grass to nibble on. She waited impatiently for the father and daughter. Looking around at the mountains surrounding the land.

Cosette watched her father as he trotted off. Her father had told her to stay here with Sunset. He told her that they were close in age and that she might make a new friend. Of course Cosette was always willing to make new friends. She was one of the most sociable horses on the island. She was the type who instantly made friends where ever she went.
The brindle jogged up to the strange yellow mare with a smile on her face. "Hello, I am Cosette." the filly said with a bob of her crown. "Welcome to the herd!" she exclaimed. "My father told me to go exploring with you. I mean if you don't want me to come thats fine, I'll just go find something else to do."

Sunset smiled at the brindle. She liked her already."I would love it if you would accompany me." She nodded. Maybe you could introduce me to some of the other herd members? Sunset said. She turned slightly and looked up to the sky. Sighing she said." So should we get going?" She turned and began walking away towards some trees in the distance. Hoping the brindle would follow she continued on. Humming to herself as she walked. She wasn't sure what she was humming, but she liked it. It was cheery and happy. Exactly how she was feeling right now. She turned to make sure the Brindle was following before asking." Your name is Cosette, right?" She carried on walking. Just waiting for an answer.

Cosette grinned when Sunset told her that she could come with her. "C'mon!" Cosette immeadiately exclaimed as she began to walk ahead, eager to show the new member around. Sunset then asked her if she could introduce her to some of the other members. "Yeah, if we can find them." she told her. "This land is pretty, big so I can't be sure where everyone is at. I could always ask a raven where someone is so we can go find them. First horse I'll introduce to you is my best friend Fantasma." Fantasma was a filly a bit younger than Cosette. She was actually Cosette's niece, seeing that she was Kibitala's daughter. Since Cosette and Fantasma were so close in age they just considered each other cousins and best friends.
"Yup!" she said in reply to the question of her name. "And your name is Sunset if I heard dad correclty, right?" Cosette asked in return. She liked Sunset already. Maybe she would finally have another girl friend her own age beside Fantasma. All the other mares were much older. "So where do you come from?" Cosette inquired.

~Sunset~
Sunset walked along beside Cosette. When asked if her name was Sunset she nodded. "Yes." She replied. Sunset continued along happily. Then Cosette innocently asked. "So where do you come from?" Sunset almost stopped in her tracks, but continued along. A bit slower. "Ummm.... I'm not sure." She murmured, hoping it would be enough to keep Cosette from inquiring further. " So, where do we find this Fantasma?" She asked, smiling, trying to hide how worried she was. " Umm... She's Lassan's granddaughter, right?" Sunset babbled on, hoping to take Cosette's mind off her earlier question. As she babbled she watched where they were going. The were heading in the direction of what looked to be a forest. She wondered to herself where all the other equines were.
ooc: could you ask some of the other herd members to join so Sunset can meet them?

The bay stallion had been drinking out of the small brook that flowed through Liberta's forests, when he heared a pair of feminine voices. He raised his head and pricked his ears, green eyes peering through his black forelock to see who were the owner's of the voices. He couldn't see them through the treeline, so he turned away from the brook to trot through the trees gracefully, his neck curved like a traditional arabian's was. His parents, Lynx and Lassan, had blessed him with some of the best wild-born bloodlines he could posses, and he had to say it looked pretty good on him, if he was vain at all.
Soon the trees melted away into a meadow, and he spotted his half-sister and another, unfamiliar mare. He pricked his ears, whinnying to both of them before he trotted over to join the pair. "Hello," he said politely, offering them a friendly smile.

Cosette gave a small snort when Sunset said that she was not sure where she came from. Fair enough. A lot of horses did not know where they had come from. Cosette, of course, knew where she came from, this wonderous land that she was in. The more she thought about it, she really was glad she knew where she came from. It must be pretty strange not knowing your origins.
Sunset then asked about Fantasma and where she could be found. "Um, well I know a couple spots where she likes to hang out." Cosette said, not knowing the exact location of her friend. "See, she is not the most talkative horse. Well she is to me, but thats not the point. She's very shy and is weary around others. I think it has something to do with how her mother, my sister, constantly comes and goes. But what do I know." she continued on. "And yeah, she is dad's granddaughter."
Cosette was about to ramble on more about her friend, when she saw a bay Arabian coming over to them. A smile snuck up on her maw. It was her half brother, Taren. "Hi Taren!" she called out. "Sunset, this is my older brother Taren." she whispered.

~Sunset~
Sunset was relieved when Cosette paid no mind to her answer. Instead she began rambling on about Fantasma. Sunset nodded now and then, but wasn't really paying attention. Suddenly she saw a bay stallion coming towards them. He stopped beside them and said hello. Sunset smiled at the stallion. Cosette said hello to the stallion, who's name seemed to be Taren. Then Cosette introduced him. His name was Taren. "Hello." Sunset said smiling. Cosette said he was her older brother. That's why he reminds me of Lassan. Sunset thought to herself. He was rather handsome and Sunset liked him. He seemed kind and polite. Like his father. Sunset wasn't sure though. She could never tell things like that without talking with the horse for awhile. She pondered this while she waited.

Taren grinned over at his half-sister, until his green eyes shifted over to the new mare, who seemed to be about Cosette's age. It would be nice to see Cosette have a new playmate rather than just Fantasma. The other filly didn't really talk to him very much, quite possibly because Taren's other sister was gone. He didn't know where she was off to most of the time; hopefully, not getting herself screwed up again. He was never really close to her, or any of his other half-siblings. It was actually very hard to keep up with how many of them he was related to or step-brother to, which would prove an awkward mistake if he ever took interest in any of them. His mother already had three other foals; Blazer, Chrissy, and Erik. He never met Blazer before, other than seeing him being taken from his mother by his sire, Aro. His poor mum had taken a lot, and had seen a great difference in her personality from when he last saw her. She was a lot..colder. But a lot happier, none the less.
Taren blinked to clear is thoughts off such things, and offered another smile to the pair. "My name is Taren," he told the new mare, dipping his head, his black forelock falling over his face as he did. When he looked up again, he shook his mane and flicked his gaze between the two. " What have you two been up to?" he asked curiously, pricking his ears.

The mare's ears perked when Taren asked what they had been up to. Cosette took the opportunity to jump right in and tell him. "Well, dad invited Sunset here to join our herd. Obviously she said yes, or she would not be here right now. Dad had Giltrent come to get me so I could meet her and show her around the land. So that is what we are doing right now. She has been eager to meet some of the herd members, so I'm glad you came along." the mare rattled off. "What have you been doing with yourself?" she asked in return. Anyway Cosette could keep a conversation going, she would. The mare had been gifted, or cursed depending on how you saw it, with the gift of gab. Some horses enjoyed her company since she always had soething to say, while others found it as a great annoyance.
Cosette put her head odnwa bit and stepped back, figuring she better let Sunset talk too so she did not seem rude. Cosette really liked her new friend and did not want to lose her in the same day. The mare looked up to the sky in thought. Maybe she could go find her mother and other siblings to introduce Sunset to before she set off to find the other horses.

~Sunset~
Sunset stood silently well the two other horses talked. She looked away towards the mountains and sighed. If there was one thing she hated, it was not getting time to talk. She had discovered a whole new world to explore, and a place to meet new friends. She wasn't about to get the bottom end of the stick when it came to conversation. Finally Cosette paused. Sunset smiled at Cosette. "Yes what have you been doing Taren? Have you seen any of the other herd members?" Directing her gaze at the stallion as she spoke. Sunset waited impatiently. She enjoyed the company, but at this point she really wanted to meet all of the herd members. Not just Taren and Cosette. She already liked both of them a lot, but Sunset wanted the company of a variety of horses. Though she figured she would end up spending most of her time with Cosette.
