Your lands are wonderful, from the little piece I saw.'She let her dark black tail flick, and she arched her neck, flicking her raised tail. She wondered if Lassan was upset with her, ruining his time with his foal and mate. ' Sorry for coming in so suddenly. I had no idea River had a foal..not yet. I thought she was pregnant, like I had heard. I wouldn't have barged in if I knew she had given birth-honest.'She said in a weak tone. She gulped, hoping Lassan didn't mind. Much.

While they spoke River was grazing beside her sleeping foal. The filly curled snuggly in the long grass beside the riverbank. The mare worried. She was not sure why but something made her feel uncomfortable. Maybe seeing that mare. Snorting softly, River decided to go a stroll. Maybe show the filly more of her home. Gently, River nuzzled shadow awake. The foal bleated in protest, but struggled up anyway. Following her mother, Shadow toddled after the mare as River moved away from the waterfall, and into the forests beyond. Further from Lassan and Artava, and deeper into the stallion's large lands.

"Thank you." He said in reply to her comment about his land. It truely was a beautiful land. And very large. He then looked back to her as she apologized for comming so soon and bothering River and Shadow. "It's fine. You had no clue that they would be here." He looked at her and then to the land around them. "Would you like to see more of the land that you will be living in?" He figured she might want to see more of it. Most of his land was not explored, but the main parts that the herd used were fully explored and charted. He looked to her awaiting an answer.

Artava nodded. "I wouldn't want anything more." She said, smiling. Lassan, he was just, different. In a good way. He was soo..forgiving. She nudged him, the feel of his soft sleek coat felt good on her velvet muzzle.
"C'mon, Lassan. Let's go!"She said eagerly, and walked a few steps forward before turning back to look at him. There he stood, a true masculane, perfect in every way. She envied River so. Hopefull she could get over this forbidden love. She pawed the dirt and shook her mane.

Lassan smiled as she said that she would not want anything else. She moved up and nudged him with her soft, velvety muzzle upon his muscular, ebony coat. He smiled a bit as she moved past him and told him to c'mon. She looked back to him, waiting for him to show her around.
"Well, this large grassy valley near the enterance to this land is the main valley. This is where the herd grazes most of the day. Just past that is the woods, which you've already witnessed. The waterfall and river that you were by when you saw River and Shadow. That is the main drinking and bathing source of water. If you like to see the places that I know past that, just foloow me." He walked past her heading to the woods.

Artava glanced at the strong, flawless stag and smiled. She wanted to spend time with him so much, so, she agreed to go look at the furher parts of his land. " Well, what are we waiting for?" She asked, eager to go. She secretly wondered what had attracted Lassan to River in the first place, sighing, she pranced toward the forest.

"Follow me then, love and I will show you some of the more exciting places to this land of mine." He broke into a western like jog and came past the waterfall and river that was used as the main drinking source. "Just past here the terrian changes. I'm not sure if I told you, but this land has many, many terrians to it. We will go to a small pine forrest first and then to a feild with blue green grass and many hills. It it a wide open space, its absolutly beautiful."
He led her onto the dirt path that manuvered around the smal pine forest. He slowed down to a walk so he could be more alert here. "So tell me, what was your family like?"

Love? That's what Lassan had called her. Love. What did this mean? Did he to have the same feelings? But, River......
She sighed, and desided to be nice and answer his questian. "Nothing big. My sire was a stud so I never saw him. I was weaned off my mother at 7 months old and trained. My mother was nothing but a broodmare, I was nothing but another foal to her. Yes, she guarded me and didn't want me to be weaned away, but the thought that I was just another foal, that she'd be bred again and have another the next year..made me mad."
he thought back to what he called her. Was it a joke, did he mean it? Things told her now was the time. The time to tell Lassan the truth.
"Lassan. This is going to sound stupid. I know you love River to death, more then anything, but Lassan..I-I-I....I...love you." She blurted everything as quick as she could. She looked away, ready for Lassan to leave her there. All alone. Sighing, she looked back at him.

He listened as she spoke about her family. Her father was a stud horse and her mother was just another brood mare that had foals every year. He felt bad for her, she never got to learn, play, and grow up with bother her parents, like he had. But he knew how life on breeding farms worked. He had heard it from many equines. In the herds on Isola Dei Dei the foals stayed with their mothers and herd until they were ready to leave by their own choice, unless the were the heir to the land. Is the herds on Isola Dei Dei there weren't really brood mares. Sometimes one or two would show up, but generally speaking they weren't brood mares. And the studs, that is what the god of the herd's job was. Yes he had a mate, the goddess, but he was still a stud horse to all the mares in the herd, unless another stallion was present. In that case the lead would have to give him permission to breed with the horse he chose to. Lassan never knew why the herd worked this way, they just did. He figured it was a law set way way back when the elemental herds owned the island.
He then looked to her as she started speaking again. This time it was something different. She told him that she loved him. She looked away from him expecting him to walk away or something of the sort. He had been told this by several herd mares, he knew they truely loved him. It was so awkward being the lead, and having to breed with any herd mare and basically fall in love with them. It was complicated. He loved all the mares to dfferent extents, why should she be any different. He jsut looked to her and said "I know." He paused for a second and then said "Oh lookie, there's the feild I was telling you about. How 'bout we go for a run together, eh?" He changed the subject so he could think about it for awhile. He looked over to Artava for a reply.

Artava struggled to nod her head at Lassan's voice. She knew she was so stupid for falling in love with the lead....
She trotted toward the field, waiting for Lassan. This love was more then a love, it was a passion. She loved him for him, lead or not. She hoped he knew that. If galloping in the field made him happy, she'd ignore her pain and run with him.
Seeing he was coming, she bucked out with happiness and sped ip. Time to show Lassan that one thing that separated her from each and every fae on this island-Her unmatchable speed.

He smiled as she nodded. He hoped that she wasn't mad at him for quickly changing the subject. He stood still as Artava broke into a trot. He waited until she was a few strides away from him until he started after her. He broke into a swift trot and then to a slow, lope like canter. Artava looked back to him and then broke out into a full gallop. He pumped his speed up to match hers. She had to be by far the fastest mare in his land, which was no surprise since she was of Arabian blood just like himself. They ran neck and neck over the hills of the meadow until they reach a narrowing path. He slowed and told Artava to do the same. "This path leads to a patch of jungle. I hope you like jungles."

Artava smiled and nudged Lassan playfully. "Of course I do! After all, It's something to adventure in, no?"
She kicked out and walked in, looking back at Lassan. What was he thinking? She hoped he didn't feel odd around her. She really hoped an emotion wouldn't come between them. And who knows. Maybe Lassan felt the same?

Lassan watched her as she walked ahead of him into the small patch of jungle. Atleast she didn't mind being in the jungle, like a few of the other horses did. He walked after her and onto a very faint dirt path. He trotted up a bit until he was directly behind Artava. He slowed until there was a metre gap between the them.
He sighed faintly. I wonder what she is thinking right now. He shook his head a bit and then returned his attention to the lovely mare in front of him. "So Artava what country are you from?" he asked starting a conversation.

Artava looked confused. France...she had told him that before. But, of course, so many things clouded in the stallions mind..he must have forgotten. She turned around to face Lassan. She smiled and answered softly. "France."
Her words came out like soft silk, wrapping itself around the black stallion in front of her.

Her lyrics floated to his awaiting auds. France she said. Her vioce sounded a bit confused. Had he asked her this already? He searched his mind for minute. He had. There was just so much on his mind that he couldn't remember. Plus her accent was French, so why did he even bother asking? He didn't even know the answer to that one. He halted as they came to a fork in the path. He looked back to Artava and said "Artava you can chose the way. One path leads to one of the snow capped mountians and the other leads to a small beach. You chose."
