MASQUERADE
______________________________ The masked stallion was relieved to finally be back in his home territory. Sure, the visit with Lassan's fmaily had gone surprisingly well, but Masquerade felt awkward there. It wasn't that he was anti-social, he just felt like he was intruding on them. He really had wronged Liberta and Lassan in the past. He knew that the black stallion seemed to have forgiven him, but he still felt as if it were better that he not go back into those lands. He had just caused too much trouble. Next time, he would stay back while Lynx went to go see them. She was perfectly capable of going there herself.
Speaking of Lynx, where was she? Masquerade hadn't seen her in a day or so. Sometimes he liked having time to himself. He wasn't a very cuddly horse who always had to have contact with another equine. Most darks were like that.
The stag thought about looking for Lynx, but he just figured that she was mucking about with Lovett somewhere. He would just stay here and graze while waiting for her to show up sooner or later. He knew she would. POLARIS ________________ It had been a few days since Polaris had last been out of Liberta. Today Zeake was watching the girls, which meant that he was free for the day. He had spent most of it lazily grazing until he decided that he was bored with that. He had wantde to get out of Liberta for a while, but he really did not have a place to go. That was until he remembered Chrissy only lived an hour or so away in one of the unclaimable lands.
Polaris decided to take his chances and venture out there. He wasn't a child anymore and he could do what he wanted. Plus, he was big enough now that he could fend for himself if he needed to. Hopefully that wouldn't happen.
When Polaris finally made his way to where Chrissy and her family lived, he cautioulsy walked around calling out her name. He was sure to keep his gaurd up, knowing what kinds of horses could be lurking in these lands.

Lynx
» Lynx thought the meeting with Lassan went pretty well, even though Erik and Masquerade didn't talk as much as she'd liked them too. But she guessed they just weren't very much of "social-butterfly" characters. Like father like son. And like mother, like daughter. She and Chrissy probably blabbed off those poor horses' ears. And Chrissy seemed to be getting a lot of attention from the pair of colts, Zeake and Polaris. Lynx'd have to keep an eye on her daughter.
» The arab's lungs filled with the chilling, crisp air of a fall morning. The birds were singing in the half-bare trees, and a thin layer of frost covered the grass like glitter. The sun looked cold and distant from this point as it withdrawed to engulf the island into winter. Lynx snorted in distaste. Winter was always horrible for her. She wasn't meant to be trugging around in 5 inch deep snow. It was too cold out too for her thinner coat. Thinking about it gave the little mare a shudder, and suddenly the cold sinking into her bones. She snorted and glanced around, deciding to go find Masquerade and huddle with him for warmth. She hadn't seen him for a day or so since they came back anyway, and frankly she was starting to miss him.
» Eventually Lynx found her mate, walking up beside him and pricking her ears, offering him a smile. "Hello," she greeted cheerfully, a puff of smokey vapor trailing from her maw as she spoke.
----- Just to be quiet....
-----
» Chrissy grazed quietly to herself on the edge of the meadow, her dark ginger tail lashing side to side though there were no flies out to bother her. For once in her life she actually wasn't out gossiping with the ravens. Today was pretty kicked back so far, and she didn't protest to go with the flow. Erik was off doing whatever he usually did when he wasn't with her. Of course, she was curious on what he did, but it was best to have some form of privacy between the two twins.
» The young mare's ears pricked when she heard her name being called from within the forest. At first she thought it was her brother, but he wouldn't call out for her, he would just find her. But the voice was familiar, nonetheless. She blinked and remembered it was one of the stallions she met at Lassan's, Polaris. She smirked, raising her head and pricking her ears towards the forest. "I'm over here!" Chrissy called back, stamping a hoof on the frost-bitten ground.

MASQUERADE
______________________________
The stallion lifted his crown as he heard hoofbeats coming in his direction. They sounded light, obvioulsy a mare or a horse with a small build. A second later, he saw that it was his mate. He whinnied a hello to her as he walked forth a bit to meet her.
"'Ello." he said happily. "What 'ave y'been up to t'day?" he asked her curiously, knowing that her day was probably much, much more exciting than his day. His day had consisted of waking up, eating, getting a drink, eating some more, trotting around, and eating once again. It seemed the older he got, the more he just wanted to stand around and do nothing.
POLARIS ________________
The brindle's ears perked as he heard Chrissy's voice answering him. A smile lit up his face. So she was here and this trip hadn't been for nothing. Polaris whinnied and picked up his pace until his lavender orbs settled on the filly's petite form.
"Hello Chrissy." he said with a smile. "I hope I'm not intruding, but I was bored today and thought I'd come out here to see if you were around." he told her, explaining as to why he was in this territory.
For some reason this land seemed to be colder, and bleaker than Liberta. Polaris didn't think much of it and shrugged it off. It was not that important anyway, just and observation he made. "It's really frosty here." he commented looking around. "Where I live the frost hasn't been this bad yet."

Lynx
» Lynx smiled at Masquerade, shrugging her withers slightly as he asked her what she had been doing today. "Nothing really," she replied. "I was just with Lovett and Tobias. Only a few weeks old, and still cute as a button!" swooned Lynx, snickering slightly. She was always with Lovett it seemed like. They were inseperable, even though they had petty arguements occasionally. Like for example, on her choice of a mate. But she learned just to let it go; there was no changing the roan's mind. She could have foals wiht whoever she liked. Lynx sometimes thought of having another now that she was rooted down with Masquerade, but she was still a bit unsure of herself on whether she wanted another or not.
» The arab looked back at Masquerade. "And what did you do today?" she asked, flicking her ears curiously. She wasn't even around him half of the time, even though the stallion was her mate. It bothered her sometimes, but Masquerade often wasn't as social as she was and didn't talk to others that came through.
----- Just to be quiet....
-----
» "Hey Polaris" Chrissy replied to the brindled stallion, flashing him a smile. She began to wonder why he was here, but her question was quickly answered when he told her he just came around to visit.
» Chrissy looked around as Polaris noted that it was a lot colder over here than his homeland, Liberta. She shook her head. " Well, Scure is a lot more sheltered then any other place, so its bound to be colder. " Even as she spoke, she shuddered as a cold wind blew over her, stinging her eyes slightly. She turned and gazed at a gathering dark cloud just beyond the horizon. She curled her lip in discust. She was cold already, and it wad about to storm. Lovely. Her ears twitched at the sound of distant thunder. "We better move to cover.." she said, flicking her tail as she headed for the trees.

MASQUERADE
______________________________
The stallion smiled a bit as Lynx told him about their adventures. He was glad that she had found a friend in the roan mare. It was always good to have a friend. At least Masquerade had her and Lovett, even though he would prefer the company of another male now and then. His son wasn't any good, the colt never even showed his face around the area, let alone to Masquerade. It was sad, but Masquerade figured that it ran in the family. He had felt the same way toward his own father, and Jigsaw had acted like that to Masquerade as well.
"How's lit'le Toby doin'?" he asked the Arab. Lovett's colt had been born late into the season, but Masquerade really liked the boy. He had met him a few times, but got along better with him that he did with his own son. He hoped that one day Erik would come around, but he highly doubted that. The only way that that was ever going to happen was if he developed some kind of personality disorder or suffered a severe hit to the head which caused him to have amnesia. Both of those possibilities were highly improbable.
Masquerade flicked his ears as Lynx asked him what he did today. "You wouldn't wanna hear 'bout it Lynx." he told her. "I li'erally did nothin' all day." he said with a shrug. Age seemed to have made him much more docile, which was probably a good thing for everyone.
POLARIS ________________
The young stallion glanced around Chrissy's homeland, noticing that it was, in fact, more shletered here. "Huh. Never thought of that." he said with a small laugh, feeling pretty dumb at the moment. Oh well, he did not care. He was comfortable around Chrissy. He had gotten over his initial infatuation with the filly. Now he just saw her as a good friend, but if somehting arose, perhaps he could be more. She was a very pretty filly.
His orbs flicked skyward as he heard Chrissy say that they better head for cover. Polaris hated storms, especially in this weather. It was probably going to be a heavy dose of freezing rain. Fantastic. "Just lead the way Chrissy." he said as his eyes nervously flicked up to the darkening sky again.

Lynx
» Lynx smiled at Masquersde as he asked how Toby was. The little colt was very much a momma's boy, and extremely well behaved. Lynx was quite impressed with the little thing. All her children, she thought, weren't really as good behavior wise. Taren was only good because she was a lot gentler then, and with Lassan's influence, who wouldn't turn out like a gentleman? Chrissy was decent, but the way she acted around colts made her nervous. » "He's doing lovely, Lovett is raising him just fine," she replied, nodding her dished head. She flicked her ears though when he said that he did absolutely nothing all day. She tsked a couple times, shaking her head. "Really? Well, then we'll have to find something for you to do! Don't grow old on me, Massy," she said, in a mock-scolding tone, giving him a small smirk. She glanced up at a rumble of thunder, green eyes eyeing the growing dark cloud. She snorted, but otherwise ignored it. It was only a storm, no big deal.
----- -------> its in the water baby its between you and me <-------
-----
» Chrissy giggled at Polaris. To some horses, she might not strike them as "smart" at first. Afterall, with her appearances, they might expect her to be doing...things. But despite that, Chrissy was a logical little mare. And obviously, a little more so than Polaris. She smiled at him and bumped her hip against his withers as she passed him, heading into the cover of the forests' thick trees.
"We'll have to go super deep in here," she told him, glancing back at the brindled stallion. "the pine trees will give us a good shelter. " Chrissy flicked her tail and walked easily through the dense forest, her nostrils flaring at the heavy scent of autumn and rain, ears swiveling nervously as the occasional thunder clap rumbled away. After a couple minutes she stopped under a particularly large pine tree, shaking her mane and turning to look at Polaris. "You sure you don't want to go home before the storm starts? Or do you want to wait it out with me?" she asked, tilting her head and gazing at him with brown-and-purple eyes.

MASQUERADE
______________________________ The stallion smiled faintly as Lynx told him bout Toby. He was glad to hear that the colt was well behaved. He wished that he could say the same for his won children. Well, they were both behaved, just a bit odd. And half of the time Masquerade worried about Chrissy and her apparent fascination with the opposite sex. Hopefully she would grow out of it, but knowing hoe he was when he was much younger, Masquerade doubted that she would grow out of it soon. The love for, well, love seemed to run in Masquerade's family. Just look at his first son Jigsaw for a prime example.
"If y'could fine me somethin' t'do, I'd be 'appy." he said with a bob of his crown. Masquerade sadly smiled as she spoke abouy age. Now that he thought about it, he was halfway, or possibly more, through with his life on earth here. That frightened him a bit, the thought of dying and going to the great unknown. Oh well, no need to dwell on it now when he should be thinking of happier things.
To distract himself, the stallion's mismatched orbs drifted to the darkening sky. He let out a heavy sigh and grimaced. "Looks like a storms blowin' in." he mentioned, not knowing that Lynx had already glanced to the heavens herself.
POLARIS ________________ Polaris quietly followed Chrissy though the pines. It really was beautiful in here. He had heard stories from other herd members, or members of Rocas, about this place. They all seemed to make it out worse than it really was. Sure, there were probably some shady characters somewhere around Scure, but they were not here. He had also heard that this was a place of death. Maybe now, in the fall, but it had a unique dead beauty. Polaris was almost sure that in the summer, everything in here came to life.
The young stag flicked his ears as he heard Chrissy ask him if he would rather wait out the storm with her here, or work on getting back to Liberta. What was the difference? Either way he was going to have to find some place to hide. "I'll stay and keep you company." he said as he stared out at the rain starting to fall. "If I left to go home now, I'd be caught in the middle of it, and I really don't feel like freezing to death today." he told her. "So, what have you been up to lately?" he asked her.

Lynx
» The arabian tilted her head thoughtfully at Masquearde, pondering. What could he do? Honestly, she didn't know what he could do. Her eyes searched his expression as she mentioned his age, and frowned grimly at the sadness she found there. Masquerade was getting older, no matter how much they might deny it. Lynx was actually still a bit younger than people might expect with all of her foals. She was only around six or seven years old now. Lynx feared death very much, and she promised herself she'd go kicking and screaming. » When Masquerade mentioned the weather, Lynx glanced up at the dark sky again, nodding her tiara. "Hmm, so there is," she said, flicking her ears and shaking her mane as the rain began to start to pour down. She then turned back to the masked stallion, already soaked with the rain. "Have you ever ran in the rain?" she asked, a devious smirk on her maw suddenly. She pawed at the ground, already coated with mud, splashing up and splattering on her legs.
» Lynx shook her mane and gave Masquerade a nip before prancing away, splashing mud all on her barrel in legs. She was freezing, but a good run might warm her up. She turned her head and whinnied to the stallion before turning to gallop off, sending mud flying everywhere around her as she trampled through the long meadow, her ginger tail streaming out behind her.
----- -------> its in the water baby its between you and me <-------
-----
» Chrissy smiled at Polaris as he said he was going to stay with her. She leaned on the brindled stallion, supressing a shiver. "I'm glad," she said, looking up at Scure's canopy as it began to pour, though the pair was sheltered from the worst of it. She turned back to the young stallion, flicking her ears as he asked what she had been doing. She shrugged her withers. "Nothing too interesting, actually. How about you? Do you still watch the fillies everyday?" she asked, blinking mismatched orbs at him. She'd hate to be babysitting everyday. She'd probably end up leaving the foals to be watched by one of the ravens for all she cared. She had her own life, she didn't need to waste it watching little foals that weren't even hers. Chrissy often concidered having foals. She didn't really know if she wanted any or not, but she hoped not in the near future. She wasn't ready to be tied down just yet.

MASQUERADE
______________________________ Masquerade glanced at Lynx as she asked him if he had ever run in the rain before. He stared off into the distance for a moment, debating whether or not to lie to the mare. He had, in fact, run in the rain before with Rosabella. That was a long time ago. It almost seemed like another lifetime.
The masked stag smiled and looked down at the Arab replying "No, I haven't." It was better that way, telling that little lie. Things had been going so well since he had been with Lynx. He did not want to cause any tension by bringing up his past love.
Next thing the black stallion knew, the chestnut mare was running off way ahead of him. Masquerade threw back his head and whinnied. He half reared and took off after her.
POLARIS ________________ Polaris glanced over as Chrissy leaned her weight against him. This brought about a warm feeling inside of him. It was ... nice. Polaris was not too sure what the name for it was, but he felt as if he was acting a bit like a lovestruck filly and not the young stallion that he was.
"Oh, c'mon Chrissy. You have to have some interesting stories. I mean this place where you live is fabulous. I can't imagine that you spend your time doing nothing. What about your brother? Don't you two go off on adventures ever? Zeake and I did, and still do somtimes." he rambled off. It was nice to have someone other than a family memeber to talk to for once.
"Every other day." Polaris corrected inreply to her question. "I watch the girls every other day." He smiled at the thought of his younger sister and neice. They had grown so much over the past few months. Cosette was still a boisterous as ever, and always getting into trouble. She certainly was a very outgoing girl who was not, at all, afraid to speak her mind about things. Fantasma on the other hand was quiet and followed Cosette around like a puppy dog.

Lynx
» Lynx snickered as she glanced behind her to see Masquerade kicking off the ground to race after her. The Arab tossed her head up and whinnied in reply, moving at a smooth canter as the rain continued to pour down on the pair. Lynx looked back at the black stallion again. She was glad that he was all hers now, even though the Rosabella mare had him first. Frankly if she showed up again she would definantly fight her for Massy. She had found her mate and she wasn't going to give him up easily." C'mon dear, you've run faster then that before!" she called playfully over her shoulder. The chestnut snorted and slowed down to a trot and circled around to make her way over to the stallion, smirking. "And I thought you might have wanted to catch up with me," she teased, giving her rain soaked banner a flirtatious wave.
----- -------> its in the water baby its between you and me <-------
-----
» Chrissy giggled at Polaris, shaking some of the moisture from her brown mane that drizzled from the pine. " Alright. Well, one time me and Erik were walking through here and Erik stepped on a badger cub. We had a hell of a time running from that things mum. We even got a few scratches for sueveniers," she told him with a slight snicker. She glanced up with mismatched eyes as a large bolt of lightning lit up the clouds. Her attention returned to Polaris as he spoke again about watching his sister and niece every other day. She shrugged. "Well, either way you're still spending your day doing nothing. At your age I would think you'd already have a strong fancy for a filly in your herd," she said, smirking and giving him a bump with her hip playfully.

MASQUERADE
______________________________ Masquerade smirked as Lynx urged him on by telling him that he had run faster before. He picked up his pace a little bit by extending his already large stride. Now he was nearing closer to the chestnut mare.
It seemed to him that age had go thim here as well. He just wasn't that energetic anymore. When he was younger he had always wondered how all the older horses could stand around a graze for hours on end. Now he understood. It seemed once he hit a certain age, that was what he liked doing.
Masquerade finally slowed down as he stepped on a large rock. Lynx then slowed her pace and trotted back over to him. "Y'would think." he said thoughtfully, glancing up into the still falling rain. It seemed like it was going to be like this all day.
All of the sudden the masked stallion felt cold. It really was cold out today, especially with the falling rain. His mismatched eyes wandered to Lynx, who was just as wet as he was. "Wanna find somewhere t'dry off?" he asked her as he pointlessly shook off his coat.
POLARIS ________________
The brindle listened intently to Chrissy's story about the time she and her brother got into a scuffle with a badger. It caused hi mto smile and say "Well, I can sure as hell say that Zeake and I never got into trouble with a badger before. Although one time Zeake and I found a lost wolf pup. She was so scared, the poor thing. So we tried to find her family. Bad idea. Never try to find a wolf's family." he said. "Well anyway, we had been walking with her for a while when out of no where this huge, grey wolf comes leaping out of the bushes looking ready to murder us. Zeake and I ran like hell to get out of there. It chased us for a good ten minutes before it stopped. Its safe to say we never went back that direction." he concluded.
Polaris shook his coat free of the water that had blown into their shelter, or had snuck through the canopy of the trees overhead. "True." he mused when she said that still spent his day doing nothing. "Well, you see, I don't have time to get out much with such a large family, and what girl would want to be brought into that madness?" he answered. "What about you? I'm sure by now you have several suitors just beggging you to be by their side." he said teasinly.

Lynx
» Lynx frowned, slightly annoyed that the stallion didn't get what she had been implying, but quickly got over it. His loss, then, she thought. She shook her mane, splattering more water around along with the rain that continued to relentlessly pour down on them, freezing the arab to her bones. Lynx immediatly perked up when Masquerade mentioned trying to find a place to dry off and get warm. " That sounds good to me," she said, bobbing her crown a few times. She turned her head to look around her, ears pricked as she listened to the hiss of the rain on the treetops.
» Lynx began to wonder where her twins were at. Knowing them, they'd probably be together, safe and dry from the cold storm. And here she and Masquerade were, standing in the rain like idiots and getting cold. She laughed softly to herself, shaking her pelt off pointlessly before turning to trot off towards, where it was bound to be a bit dryer than it was out in the open meadow. Her hooves left deep indents in the mud, occasionally she would have to give a little tug to free herself from the sucking mud. Her green irises glanced back at Massy to see if he was having the same problem that she was. It was a relief to get under the cover of the trees, and it was a drastic difference on how much dryer it was. She shook off her pelt heavily, spraying water around her, and then turned to look at Masquerade, licking some water off of her muzzle.
----- -------> its in the water baby its between you and me <-------
-----
» Chrissy blinked in shock, giving a small gasp as the young stallion told her about when he and Zeake tried finding a wolf pup's parents. " Wolves? Oh, how awful! I would have been scared to death," she told him, shivering at the thought of meeting a wolf. When she was little, she remembered hearing the wolves calling from far away. Her mother had been a bit nervous, and told her and Erik to avoid wolves at all costs. She had said that when she lived with Lassan, that the wolves had killed a mare when she was left alone. "I'm glad you weren't hurt," she said honestly, shaking her mane.
» The masked filly brightened up when Polaris mentioned her probably having a bunch of admirerers around her. "I guess so. But usually all the stallions that come through here are older than my mum," she said, rolling her eyes in exasperation. Her mother wasn't that old, really, but Chrissy always liked to tease her mother like that. It seemed that way when she had so many foals. The filly oftened wondered about her half-brothers, but mostly Blazer since she hadn't met him before. Her mother said the reason they didn't see him that his father was an evil horse, and she didn't want to see anyone getting hurt. Chrissy shrugged her withers to herself, turning her thoughts back to Polaris. "Well, if you think its that bad, why don't you just leave?" she inquired, looking at him and tilting her head curiously. "I mean, I don't think you'll get anything out of staying there anymore. Sure, protection in numbers, but there's only so much room, and there's a lot of horses in your father's herd. And Shadow's the heir, and even if she doesn't get the land, Venom and Lassan's foals would." The filly shrugged again. She wasn't trying to talk Polaris out of leaving, but she was just pointing a key fact out. The island was huge, and could provide a lot for a single horse.

MASQUERADE
______________________________ Masquerade smiled as she agreed to finding some place to dry off. The mare then took off at a jog and Masquerade broke into a slow lope to catch up with her. He silently followed her to cover under a group of trees. Once they had caught their breath, the stallion glanced to his mate. He smirked a bit to himself as he took in her muddy and disheveled appearance. Normally she was always spotless and well groomed. Now she looked like a young, wild horse. It suited her though.
“Well thats much better.” he commented as he shook off his mud splattered coat. “D'y'think Chrissy found somewhere outta the rain?” he asked, concerned for his daughter. He would ask about Erik, but the colt didn't care for him, so why should he care for the colt? Plus, he knew full well that Erik was self sufficient.
POLARIS ________________
Polaris laughed a bit. “Well when its a small little pup, its not so scary. But when that big one came out after us, I about had a heart attack!” he exclaimed. “Never mess with those things. Even if it is a little, lost, cute one.” he informed her as if she was never told before. The brindle gave her s oft smile as she said that she was glad that he wasn't injured in any way.
The colt made a face as she said something about older stallions. “But I'm sure they like you.” he teased with a waggle of his brow. “I know that they always like the mares younger than themselves.” he continued with a grin. It was nice to have someone to tease other than family for once. It also caused a fun reaction instead of some kind of petty argument that would inevitably lead into a quarrel.
Polaris intently listened to Chrissy's words. “I would be weird leaving.” he said. “Its my home. No matter how much it annoys me, I would miss it.” he told her honestly. “But I would like to get out and see the island. And I know I would always be welcomed back.” With that said, Polaris began to think about leaving. He really would like to someday. Not alone though. Well maybe. He just thought that it would be more fun to have someone with him, someone to share his adventures with.
“True.” he commented as the filly said that Shadow was next in line. Come to think of if Polaris did not know who was next after her. He assumed it would be Zeake, since he was Lassan's son, but Lassan saw Polaris as his own. He had treated him like his own from day one so why wouldn't he get a fair chance? Plus Lassan was already unorthodox in the hierarchy since his daughter was next in line. Normally the daughters were put last after the sons.

Lynx
» The arab smiled as her mate came to join her, ears pricked and smokey vapor trailing out of her nostrils into the chilly air as she breathed. She caught the stallion smirking to himself as he looked at her, and she glanced down at her muddied appearance. She shifted her hooves, suddenly noticing how she may look darkened with mud. She snorted and proceeded to lick the mud off her chestnut pelt with furious strokes. She glanced up as Masquerade wondered if Chrissy got cover out of the rain, but she noticed he didn't mention Erik. True, Erik and Masquerade didn't have the best father/son relationship. Hell, she didn't have a very good relationship with him either. He didn't even try, either. But he was just not that kind of horse to take interest in his parents too much. But Lynx still loved her son very much.
» "I'm sure she did," Lynx replied, shaking her mane and continuing to clean off the mud off of her. Chrissy may seem like the slutty, not-so-bright type to outsiders, but she actually was quite the thoughtful little thing. But that might easily change once she discovered just what stallions were for. Lynx cringed at the thought.
----- -------> its in the water baby its between you and me <-------
-----
» Chrissy shook her mane, cringing at the thought still of meeting a wolf. "Trust me, I'd be turning tail and running if I ever see one," she replied, shivering again and brushing closer to the stallion and glancing around, as if the wolves would suddenly appear. Her ears flicked as he said that the stallions that came through here prefer younger mares. She snorted and smirked at him. "So what do you have to say for yourself, mister?" she said, raising an eyebrow and giving him a teasing look. Polaris was very well obviously older than her, besides his obvious taller height, but Chrissy got her smaller size from her mother. She gave the brindle a playful nudge to show she was joking.
» On a more serious matter, she listened to him talk about how it would be strange leaving Liberta. She could see where he was coming from. Leaving Scure would be really weird to her to. After all, she was born here. She nodded in agreement to Polaris, flicking her ears as she listened to another rumble of thunder overhead.

MASQUERADE
______________________________
Masquerade was amused by Lynx's frantic attempt to remove hte mud from her beautiful chestnut coat. In his opinion, she honestly looked fine. I gave her a much more wild and free look when she was like that. She was always so well groomed and proper, not there was anything wrong with that of course. The stallion chuckled at her as he moved closer to her to help her clean all of the mud off of herself.
Now that he actually thought about it, Masquerade had not spent much time alone with her in a long while. This was very nice at the moment. He was almost thankful for this storm that was going on just outisde of their shelter. Storms could have something goos come out of them.
POLARIS ________________
Polaris smirked as she joked back with him. "Myself, eh?" he asked as he looked off into the distance dramatically as possible. "I like mares around my own age." he said with a wink to the filly. "If I went after older mares it would make me seem stuck up!" he explained, speaking from previous experience. Any colt or stallion he had met before who did, in fact, go after the older mares seemed to think that they were too good for the 'young crowd'. "And if I went after younger ones, they might think I was a creeper." he said with a smile.
Polaris was aware that Chrissy was a year younger than himself. It was just up to her as to how she took his previous comments, if she considered herself aroudn his age or if she considered herself to be notably younger. Either way, it would amuse the young stallion.
