~Evadne~ Having inherited the title of new ruler from her mother, Evadne was getting used to her title. As her first change, she decided that the Nyfrio needed to regain their lands in the south. She refused to stand by and let the other Elementals gain power as their kind cowered in the north. No. They too would rise to power again. Her journey had taken her across abandoned lands, historical battle grounds, and trecherous areas even for the strongest brute. Yet, beyond the horizon, she spotted the familiar emerald grasses of Annaffiare Il Rifugio. The grasses that it had been known for back in the time her great-grandmother had ruled. A century of being left untouched hadn't done the land any damage. Instead, it looked even more beautiful. Like it had been made whole again just for Evadne and her soon to be growing empire.
Harks flickered to the west where she heard the familiar roar of Morte Tuffando. Its plunging waters held a comfort for the fea who had gone weeks without the familiarity of wet lands. Maw lifted to the sky and she released a low bugle, barely audible. The sky reacted immediately. Clouds rolled together, spaning the length of her vision. They turned a slate gray color and soon began dumping rain across the tierra. Lightning lit up the sky. Her tassles were soon plastered to her brindled pelt. Power rippled through her muscles. This was where she belonged. Dome nodded in the direction of the north, sending the weather towards where the Nyfrio were in hiding. Hopefully many would get the message and come home, to join Evadne and their rightful homelands.

Aguarismo
The blue-toned stallion had been hiding on the lands for months, wondering if anyone of the Nyfrio with power had survived, wondering if they would ever regain power as the other herds were doing. The equine’s white mane blew in the breeze gently, his ice-blue eyes dull with loss of hope. He had been hiding for so long…it had really been months since he’d last had any encounter with another horse. Aguarismo had refused to leave the lands and had resorted to hiding, mostly near the great falls he loved so much. Rismo snorted gently through flared nostrils…he couldn’t lose hope, not yet…there was still time, still a chance that others would soon come back.
His dark blue harks pricked alert at the extremely soft sound of what he thought to be a low bugle, from another equine. His ears pinned back, another snort emitted from his nostrils…no, they couldn’t come and try to take the lands, not the lands his kind so rightfully owned, and would one day regain. The anger began to set, when he noticed the weather…the skies turned grey and soon buckets of water seemed to plummet from the clouds that had formed…had someone truly returned? Rismo snorted again, somewhat doubtful before he set off in the direction the clouds had come from, hoping to find someone, anyone of Nyfrio blood.
After galloping for a few minutes in a southerly direction, he spotted the grey-blue roan and white m equine a short distance ahead and slowed his pace. He tossed his ivory-hued, now drenched, mane and let out a soft whiney, making sure the mare knew of his approach. By the colors of her pelt alone he could tell she was Nyfrio…and by the looks of it, their leader. He approached her and a stopped a respectable but conversational distance from her before dipping his crown in respect and bringing it up once more to speak, “Greetings Lady…it is quite a pleasure to see you here.” He started, a smile pulling at his velvet kissers as he spoke, “My name is Aguarismo…and I have been waiting, hoping for your return.” He finished, dipping his crown once more.

~Evadne~ Cranium turned in the direction of the sound of hoof beats and their owner's call. Pools flickered over his form, they were narrowed, sizing him up and deciding whether or not he was indeed a Nyfrio. He had come from the great water falls, but that didn't mean that he wasn't another elemental encroaching on her land. The closer he got and the larger his form became, she couldn't deny that he was obviously of Nyfrio descent. Orbs widened in shock, but only for a moment as she composed herself once more before he was near enough to notice. He was the first Nyfrio she'd seen in a while.
Auds turned in his direction when his vocals wrang out above the roar of the pouring rain. A quick flick of her banner caused it to lighten up a bit so it was only a drizzle. Beads of water dripped from her forelock down her dome and then fell from her muzzle to the ground. It is a pleasure to meet you Aquarismo. Kissers smiled in greeting. I am Evadne, the new ruler of Annafiare. She pondered his statement for a moment and realized that he must have been here the entire time. Unlike the others who fled to the north, he had remained here. How have you been able to stay in Annafiare? I had thought it was abandoned. Her lyri were somwhat incredulous. She had thought that all of the Nyfrio had fled with her great grandmother. But apparently some had stayed after all. I cannot believe that you have been waiting here all this time. I am glad to see you here. Kissers pulled into a soft smile.
Not long after Rismo had arrived, another mare appeared. Welcome. Her voice greeted the new arrival, a mare, and obviously of Nyfrio descent as well based on the splash of colors on her pelt. I am Evadne, Queen of Annafiare. And you are? The drizzling stopped, though the clouds above still looked as if they could dump a thousand more buckets of water down on them at any moment. All that was left of the lightening were a few small flashes off in the distance.

Aguarismo
The dark blue equine smiled and shook his crown slowly at the Queen’s incredulous question, “I refused to leave, m’lady. These lands were our home…and I wouldn’t leave them. This is where our kind have always belonged…and we always will belong here.” He replied politely, stating the simple reasons he had stayed. “And believe me, Lady Evadne…it is an even greater pleasure that I meet you, and I am glad I waited here, and even more so that you returned.” He said, a smile gracing the stallion’s handsome features as he spoke. He was unbelievable grateful that she had returned…he was certain all the rest of the Nyfrio would soon return as well…would come back to the home that belonged to each of them.
Rismo’s ice-blue orbs turned on the new mare, a brindle-splashed equine that had joined them, no doubt a Nyfrio as well. He smiled kindly at the maiden and dipped his crown slightly, “I am Aguarismo.” He said to her, and then speaking both mares he continued, “But you may call me Rismo, if you so wish.” He finished off, smiling at both mares…the day just kept getting better and better.

Elsa & Kanaka Painted femmora walked slowly into the lands, constantly checking behind her to make sure her filly was following. Elsa stopped after they had traveled for about half and hour, they seemed to be in the water territory now. Kanaka trotted towards her, now much more sure on her feet then earlier that day, and suckled from her dam.
Trotting alongside her filly, she searched to see if any other nyfrios remained. The herd she had been born and raised in had been killed, which had left her alone, and her daughter fatherless. Deep orbs searched around, and finally, she saw something. Horses! And Nyfrios by the scent of it! she thought joyously, changing gaits effortlessly from a medium paced trot to a long strided canter. Kanaka hadn't any trouble keeping up, which both surprised and pleased her mother.
"Hello..I am Elsa, and this is my daughter, Kanaka." she said after she came to a stop close to a gatheration of three other nyfrios. Two being mares, and one a stallion. Looking the horses over, she looked first to a mare that appeared the leader, then to a brindled mare, and lastly to the blue-toned stallion. If it had not been for the fact that she had recently lost her stallion, she might have found him attractive, but now, he looked just like any other horse to her. Muse: Bad Song: None Character(s): Elsa (mainly) & Kanaka

~Evadne~ The femme listened to his story intently, a smile pulling at the edges of her kissers. I am glad that you have stayed so loyal to the Nyfrio after so long. It will be an honor to have you in the herd. Nares pulled to the sky as she caught the scent of more equines making their way towards the ever growing group. Harks flickered, listening for the hoof beats that were sure to follow. The pair were moving swiftly across the emerald carpet. A mother and daughter. Pleasure to meet you Elsa and Kanaka. I am Evadne. The filly appeared to be very young. Her dome lowered down to her level. Hello young one. Maw reached out to meet her velvet one. Nares breathed in her sweet smell. Crown lifted up to address everyone. Welcome back to Annafiare. Her heart swelled with pride at the words. This was their land again and soon their herd would be back to its former glory. Gaze swept to each of the members, finally ending on Rismo’s with a smile.

The brindle splash nodded to the others, not really paying attention to them. Raiden was busy thinking, dreaming. She snorted, smiling. 'i'm raiden.' [/blockquote] Muse` It just left me. -.- Note` Nothin' Character` Raiden.

Aguarismo
The paint stallion watched as more equines approached. A mare and her young filly. He smiled at the pair in greeting and dipped his head slightly in respect. His ears pricked to catch their names…Elsa and Kanaka. He smiled once again at them, “I’m Aguarismo…Rismo for short.” He said once more to make sure the mother and her foal got his name. He looked over the group. There were only a few of them, but he was sure that with the passing time more Nyfrio would return to their homelands and join them.
His ears pricked to Evadne’s words and he smiled at her, dipping his head, “And I will be honored to follow you, Lady Evadne.” He said kindly, politely…respectfully. When he looked up his ice-blue eyes caught sight of Evadne’s as she looked over the group as well. His gaze locked on her’s when she looked at him and smiled. He smiled in return and couldn’t help but think about how captivating that smile was. He fault drawn to her more than to the other mares, but it was too soon to consider anything…they were reforming, for now. He sighed gently and looked about, wondering what to do next. Introductions had been made, and it didn’t look like others would be arriving…at least not today, not now.

~Evadne~ The dove smiled at the mare who introduced herself as Raiden and then addressed all of them. There aren't many of us at the moment, but I am glad to see us back where we belong. Her gaze traced the lands around them, the lands that their ancestors had grown up and thrived on. It doesn't seem as if any more will be coming soon, so you may all do what you wish. You know the borders of Annaffiare and this will probably be our meeting place in the future. When she was done, she turned to Rismo. Will you take a walk with me? She had a couple questions for him, and wanted to get to know him some more. She also wanted to get to know the others, though there weren't many, but she would eventually have to create the positions that would govern the herd.

Aguarismo
The dark blue paint stud stood patiently as Evadne learned the names and took in the sights of all the equines that stood around them. He himself was also putting names to faces and locking them to his memory, it had been so long since he had met any other Nyfrio, and he wanted to be sure he got to know all if not most of those who would return to the lands of their origin, to the place where they all belonged.
Twin peaks pricked toward the Queen, listening intently to her words and nodding slightly when she seemed to finish. Rismo intended to get to know all these equines, and sooner rather than later, but he wanted to get to know Evadne first…he wanted to know a little more of their new ruler, how she thought and perhaps discuss some…technical strategies with the maiden, but it seemed as that would have to wait before he noticed her face him specifically and ask for his company on a walk.
Rismo nodded politely and took a few steps toward her, “Of course m’lady…I would be glad to take a walk with you.” He said politely, a charming smile thrown in with no true intention. It was more than obvious that he was the only stallion in attendance at the moment, but he wouldn’t take advantage of the fact. However, Evadne was an attractive mare, as far as looks went. He wanted to get to know her better, just like he did everyone else…but more her specifically than the others. He stood beside her and waited for her to lead the way.

~Evadne~ She paused, nodding to the others, and then made her way forward with Rismo, heading in the direction of a hot spring that she knew wasn't too far away. You probably know the lands better than I do as you've been here longer. I was wondering... you've never seen any others? Whether they were Nyfrio or some other elemental breed? She paused for a moment for him to answer. She was eager to learn more of what he had experienced these many years he had resided here without the rest of the Nyfrio breed. Orbs watched his form, studying the intricate patterns that decorated it. Harks flicked back and forth, catching the soft bubbling of the spring that was slowly coming into view. Around its edges was a thin layer of mud and then it changed into the spring. There was a slightly sulferous scent, but nothing over-powering. This was one of her favorite spots, besides the waterfall. Hooves began to sink into the squishy mud, caking the lower halves of her pillars.

Naunet The brightly tainted femora had been walking around for the past few minutes, searching for a new grazing patch. Now that autumn had fallen, he plan was to bulk up and gain some weight for winter. She knew that during the winter times, food could be scarce. It wasn’t nearly as bad as it was in the large herds, she knew, but she did tend to get rather hungry during that specific season.
Turning to head a different, more lush area, she felt the mass of a single water droplet fall upon her finely carved skull. To most equine this drop of water signaled nothing more than the promise of a cold dampness to come. To her, oh no, it was much more. Lifting her pallet up to the sky, she saw more rain pursue its plunge to earth. With a new-found hope, Naunet perked her audits and began to trot towards the sound she had heard. It had been a very low call, and she only heard it in the depths of her sensitive eardrums. When she finally arrived, she could see five horses in check. She automatically walked over to the leader. It was obvious that she had authority, for the essa held that certain air about her.
She came to a halt and folded her front towers into a low bow. When she arose a small smile appeared on the corners of her maw. At last, the time had come when the Nyfrio were gathered and had come back to life! “At last, I get to meet the Nyfrio goddess. I am Naunet, another one of the awaiting wanderers.” The vixen spoke in a light, cheerful tone. With a quick peak at the others, she focused her gaze back onto the Nyfrio leader. ~Evadne~ The leadess caught sight of another Nyfrio making their way towards her. A suprise. She had thought that all who would be coming today were there. Greetings Naunet. A bright smile flashed at the fea. It is a pleasure to meet another of our kind. Please make yourself home in these lands once more. We have reclaimed them and you are safe here for the time being. She couldn't help but worry about the other element herds that would surely be working to gain power soon. And they would have to work to keep up. What they needed most was a larger herd. Perhaps more would show up, but future generations would have to be ensured as well. In case something were to happen to her, an heir would also be needed. She awaited Rismos's answer as she pondered all of this. A huge burden had been placed on her whithers, but it also felt like a blessing. She was going to be able to bring back the power of the water horses.

Cascata Cascata was at the peak of the thrashing waterfall, playing with the water. This was her favourite part of the lands, where she felt the magic of the water flowing through her veins the most, it's silky touch pure and refreshing. She raised a handful of water into the air, making it swerve and twist elegantly before floating leisurely towards her sparkling pelt, entwining up all four pillars and flowing over her dainty forehead, following her Nyfrio marking of a waterfall before sliding gently into the stream, the droplets creating their melodic twinkling - Cascata's favourite song. Sighing softly she lowered her pretty face to the now smooth waters, parting her maw to allow the soothing liquid to trickle slowly down her throat, droplets of water landing in the river as her pale forelock flipped forward.
It was eerily quiet: the only noise was the harmony of the water flowing eagerly over the rocks, although Cascata barely noticed - she was used to the silence. Being alone for a long period of time would do that to a equine. She'd been solitary since she could remember, waking up in a random lake somewhere as a yearling and being unable to uncover her past before it. Like it had been stolen from her. Most horses would have gone crazy, but not Cascata. She was tough, a fighter, but at heart she was quite sensitive and mainly a dreamer; after all, if you have nothing and noone to talk to you would begin to create situations in your mind, wouldn't you?
Mid-thought an unfamiliar noise interrupted her subconciousness and she swiftly turned her beautiful face to where it had originated from, dainty radars pricked as they listened intently. Surely it couldn't have been.. I mean... She'd been waiting for so long.... The bugle? The new Queen? Moving quickly she leaped with the agility and grace of a gazelle into the frothing liquids of the river, finding it extremely easy to swim - after all, she could make the water bend and move to help propel her forwards. She cantered to the edge of the waterfall, gazing down over Annaffiare Il Rifugio with awe, it stunning landscape always catching her breath. Shaking her pretty head to stop her from daydreaming she stared along the horizon, a few pinpricks barely visible but definately there popping into view.
Adrenaline began to race through her now tense body, her deep blue eyes intensely contrasting with her pale coat. Her breathing was also raised, and she looked down the waterfall just as a huge horse made of water plunged from it's raging depths, striking out and twisting before falling into the mist at the bottom. Her sparkling orbs flashed white as she used her powers, glowing like tiny stars imbedded in her skull. Then, she jumped.
To most it would have looked like a suicide attempt, but to her it was just a bit of fun. Her lithe frame slid through the cool air before it began to fall, gathering speed, and a few metres before she hit the angry surface of the water she suddenly converted herself to the liquid, merging with the water and appearing at the edge of the plunge pool a few moments later. She urged the water to drip from her body, leaving her perfectly dry in a matter of seconds. Eagerly she sprang into an elevated canter, her pale legs moving fluidly, pure white hooves striking the lush grass and hardly making a sound. She reached them fairly quickly, slowing to a trot then a walk before bowing to the Queen, her velveteen muzzle brushing the ground. She also lowered her head to the other horses, before her sweet, harmonious voice much like the twinkling of water droplets rang out softly, "It's a pleasure to meet you all. My calling is Cascata, and I am honoured to be part of this herd, if you will accept me." She suddenly paused, an embarassed smile tugging at her kissers as she tucked her head slightly to her chest. [/blockquote] Character played: Cascata Muse: Woah I wrote a lot (for me anyway mwah ha ha!) so my muse was goodish, although actually writing was a bit blah.
