It was time. The Veggenti leader walked confidently, not arrogantly, onto Terra di Fuoco, knowing his life was safe. He hadn't even had to look into the future to know it. Gold pillars marched magestically, well muscled bodice moving fluidly over the unknown terrain with ease, although truth be told it wasn't entirely new to him - he had seen it in visions before. The charred patches, the heat that seemed to radiate from beneath his feet.
The weather was crisp, fresh, but the intense waves of warm brought a light sheen of perspiration to his sleek, spring coat, breathing softly, calmly. He wasn't here for a fight. Nor was he here to join ranks with the Zundens. They probably knew he was here by now, their land vast but member count much higher than the Time herd's, and it was only a matter of time until someone made an appearance.. maybe he'd retaliate, maybe he'd simply dodge. Who knew? A slight footstep behind him caused him to swiftly look into the future, a fireball the size of a rhino would be heading his way in approximately 3.42 seconds. Plenty of time.
LA FIAMMA DI INFERNO
[/sup] The stag's ruby orb glittered, and the mare fell to the ground unconcious, Tate muttering out bitterly, "Stupid bitch."[/blockquote]Inferno sighed, boredom racking her senseless. She wasn't lonely, just longed for some excitement - no animals or stupid equines seemed to venture these parts anymore, for they knew they would never get out alive again. The maturing vixen sighed, stooped her defined cranium to the grass and tugged at a few charred strands disinterestedly. What she didn't understand was why the other members seemed to take pleasure out of wrecking all the lush grass - why not stick to one training area if they had the sudden urge to burn something? With a light snort she began to trot softly, heading for an area quite secluded that was sure to contain a few strands of grass that didn't taste as though it had been chargrilled.
It was then that she saw him.
The Zunden knew immediatly that he was not a herd member, but not any ordinary equine either. The way his bodice was decorated, and simply his presence told her that he was a figure of importance. Still, he wasn't a fire horse and he was trespassing, so she wouldn't hesistate to turn him into a ready cooked meal for the vultures. He was walking away from her when she was about to attack, but then he surprised her by stopping and turning. Too late now, there was nowhere he could go, and she fired a huge ball of crazed fire his way, just as magma and molten metal flowed from cracks in the ground and covered her fire red pelt as armour. The next thing that happened she did not expect, for she had never experienced a sensation like it... he was in her head. Not expecting an attack from that angle she began to push his influence out of her, succeeding for a moment but he was too strong and clamped down on her conscience, controlling the inferno so that it blazed past him, doing no damage other than a few scorched strands of tail. His deep voice echoed through her mind, making it go fuzzy and shudder - only practise would stop these symptons unless you were a time or wisdom horse, "I'm not here for a fight, but I swear I won't be this easy on you if you try again."
Then he was out of her head. She gasped, feeling drained and defeated. He began to walk closer to her, speaking as he did, "I'm sorry fae, it had to be done. You don't mess with the time lord. Be proud, you have quite an intense mind to break into." An angry snarl roared from the mare's lungs, fire sparking over her petite frame, thick plumes of smoke flowing like water from her flares nostrils. It was bad enough he was trespassing but to mock her also? That was it. On sudden impulse she hurled super speed fire balls at him, aiming to hit. As it had happened so swiftly the first struck him on his shoulder, singing the dark hair and leaving a burn, but he stamped his front daggar and was immediatly in her mind, and stopped the fire with ease. "You really shouldn't have done that." An extremely high pitched noise rang through her ears, one that should have immediatly immobilised her and made her collapse from the pain. Yet the vixen stood, grinding her teeth, before managing to utter out a word, "B-bastard."
