ORPHEUS °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Orpheus came bolting upon the scene where his father had spent his last breaths. His customary, western-style halt came into play as he came to the edge of the bloodied waters that held Hannibal’s mass. The colt’s maw was stretched into a firm grimace. It was not his father’s demise that ruined the smirk that had held place on his maw just moments before though. Rather, it was that the main source of water for Inferno was now tainted with blood. It made it an unsuitable source.
His head tossed slightly as the wind rustled the trees above him. Glancing up, the smile promptly returned. It seemed that there was a rain brewing in the heaven’s above them. Perhaps, it would be enough to flood the pond with fresh water? Or, at least, enough to dilute the bulk of the blood…
A loud nicker left the colt’s vocals as he bellowed to the herd. He let out a series of the calls before glancing back to where he expected Cheza to appear. As he whipped his head back he snarled out, “help me get this corpse out of the waters before the rains hit.” Orpheus did not wait for a response, instead, wading into the waters. He jerked his crown beneath the bloodied waters, grasping at his father’s tail. His crown quickly rose from the depths of the water and he began forcing all of his mass into pulling the water-logged corpse from the murky pond.°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° you better see how evil you can be When you see my evil smile iNSPiRATiON; [over] [by evan’s blue] word-count; ; [246]

Somebody save meThe Era mare had loped after the large colt, tassels flying in the bitter wind. It had been, and still was, drizzling, but it was progressing to a more steady rain. Flicking her head, she slowed her gait to a slow jog. She looked in horror at the painted stallion. At first, she thought it was Bolin. After studying it, she realized it was a stallion of older years.
There sire.
She was suprised, and haunted, at Orpheus's take on it. It was just another dead horse, a useless carcass. He drug it out of the blood tainted water supply, and asked her help. She had to touch a dead horse? Sadly, it wouldn't be a first time. Grabbing some mane, she drug the stallion with all her might. What the heck was he? A bison? She muttered throigh the soaked mane, even though she knew it covered, drenched, in water. Pulling with all her might, she closed her eyes and mentally scolded herself. She could be in the Era lands, in the flowers and forests and wind, with Bolibn and the rest, safe.
But her plan hadn't totally failed. Yet.This isn't going as planned! This is my living hell Somebody save me

ORPHEUS °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° The colt huffed in slight amusement at her words; perhaps, the first time he had showed any amusement at what someone besides himself had spoken. As they finally got the massive corpse out of the water, Orpheus inhaled a familiar scent with his crown so close to the earth. Snorting, he dropped the tresses that were wedged between his ivories and raised his crown. “Mother,” hissed out of his mouth. The scent of his mother had been protected while she was in Inferno spying, all except the parts that could not be guarded by the wind. Orpheus never would have realized she was there had he not been so close to the terra.
The scent was fresh, much fresher than Marut’s lingering scent. She had been here recently. Orpehus’s ears clung to his skull as he looked over to Cheza. “Well, well, it appears that you are going to get your rescue party much sooner than expected.” His eyes narrowed slightly, hooves pounding in the mud beneath them as he approached the Era mare. “Too bad,” he cooed with a hint of sarcasm, his maw reaching to grasp a few tresses of the mare’s forelock. It would be hard for one to tell what was going on in the hellions mind, but this time he made no effort to hurt the mare. Instead, he played with the tresses between his lips before letting them go and walking beside Cheza. He stood facing the opposite direction of the mare, his barrel touching her own as if to make sure she didn’t try and leave. Orpheus was curious as to who would arrive first, one of the Eras or some of the remaining herd members.°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° iNSPiRATiON; none word-count; ; [283]

I guess I could change my mindThe multi colored mare dropped the stallion when Orpheus did. A scent caught her mares, which was the same as the one she had followed. Tuula. Breathing deeply, she tensed when he touched her forelock. She relaxed, muscles flexing, once she realized he wasn't going to hurt her. I don't care if they do come.. She whispered, loud enough for him to hear. Looking toward where the scent came from, she backed up when Orpheus released her.
I like it here..it's "exciting" if you may. I have spent all my life in the Era lands. She admitted, her eyes low. Looking back up at the handsome stallion, she smiled weakly, not sure how he'd respond. It was true. She was tired of walking around in the same mountains, drinking the same waters. She wanted change, and she found that here. It almost awakened her wildness, which was unlike her. She felt like she was horribly disobeying Bolin and the rest of the Eras. This wouldn't be a good first impression, but she didn't care.
No matter what he did, she liked it here. She liked..Orpheus. Ever since Bolin first mentioned his twin she had been intrigued by him. He was so full of surprises. She was always on her hoof tips with him. I wished that he would be more accepting of her. To him, she was 'annoying' point blank. If it would please you

ORPHEUS °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° His crown c.ocked slightly as he heard her whisper. Ears twitching, the stallion slowly backed up. He didn’t stop until she was in his gaze. There was an odd expression on his face as he studied her façade. “You have a weird definition of exciting,” it was true, she did. After all, she was by definition a light, so she should not enjoy being in this place, or with him and his ways, one bit. In fact, most dark horses were terrified to be around the wild card hellion. Suspicion suddenly marred his face, followed by rage. “Hmph, I see what you are trying to do,” he snarled. “What? You think a few flattering words are going to win you a prize here? My kindness? Don’t tell me you honestly thought that by saying you enjoyed it here I would turn over a new leaf and say that you were free to go? Is that it!?” The stallion’s chest heaved with rage as he stared down the mare, but behind that mask of rage was an honest confusion. Why else would she have said such things? Surely he was right… right? His ears tucked against his skull once more as he turned away from the mare, hoarse vocals screaming into the air. Where the bloody hell was everyone?! He needed a distraction!°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° word-count;; [222] 'O°C | | haha. Somebody’s bi polar! XDD

Desert Rose pressed her ears forward as she heard a scream, but it wasn't hannibals. She quickly cantered toward the noise, she saw mare and a colt standing near Hannibals Lifeless Body. She slowed herself to a trot, Who was that colt standing there? It was Orpheus, had he killed his own father?! She walked up to the pair and started at the bloody body. She hadn't known him but he seemed better than the colt that was standing before her. What happened here?! She said looking at the colt. Was he now the leader of the herd?

How do you like things now?The mare sighed. She knew she was different. She wasn't a Light, more of a neutral. After her mate had died, she had experienced a darker, 'loner' type about her that never went away with even the rest of the Era's company. She took guilt of it, but it was who she was, and still was.
Sighing deeply, her eyes blinked at his mood swing. Why was he always like this? She reached deep in her well of patience. pulling out meer scraps. No wonder Bolin despised him. No, Orpheus! She spat angrily. He would never get it. That's not it at all! And I don't want to leave! She turned and walked away, her tail clamped against her rump, her ears slicked back.
It was all done. She liked Orpheus. It was wrong, it was stupid, and totally dangerous. But it happened. Snorting, she stopped, hooves square and firm to the turf. She felt bad, knowing she was, again, disobeying her herd. It was stupid. But love was stupid.
But it was also wonderful and magical and fantastic and heart breaking and tear jerking. But alas, it was stupid.Life has changed so much But I still love you

ORPHEUS °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Orpheus’s eyes narrowed for a moment as he saw the mare, Desert Rose, approach. As she squealed out in question of what had happened, his ears twitched. With a sigh, he shook off the confused rage he had felt moments before. He had his distraction, although he was no longer certain that that was what he wanted. None-the-less, he prepared to put on his best charm to sway the newly arrived mare that he had done nothing wrong here. Which was true, he had not killed his father, though it certainly looked that way, and, well, had he had the chance he might have.
Before a single syllable could drip from his lips, Cheza’s words hit his towers like bricks. I don’t want to leave. The colt turned on a dime, facing the mare who now had her rump to him. “What did you say?” He was momentarily blind-sighted by her words, left to only watch as she huffed and puffed with her back to him. Not really waiting for a reply, he forced himself to approach the mare. Her words were foreign to him, and Orpheus really was not certain what to think of the matter. He was never the first choice. Bolin was the first born and first choice, always…
With a snort, he nudged at her rump, ears hung low. Perhaps he had been approaching this situation all wrong. There was more than one way to get to his brother, and Orpheus was rather good at manipulation. So, he forced the most sincere smile he could wager on his maw despite the doubt, rage, and confusion that were really wailing inside of him. “And, you don’t have to leave,” he murmured calmly before walking to her side. The palomino paint gently nudged the mare’s neck with a low nicker, urging her to come back over to where the herd was slowly staring to gather. Finally, he walked back over to Desert Rose in hopes that he had buttered the Era up enough to come back over with him. “Now, where were we? Ah, yes, my father’s unfortunate death.” He paused for a moment, sudden shock on his face. “Oh, no, surely you don’t think I did this! It was Marut,” he paused again, “of the Era herd. He came to rid my mother of her obligations to her mate by killing off Hannibal.” All of which was true. “My father was drowned already when I came across the body.” Orpheus looked truly disappointed that his father had died – he could be a very convincing actor. And, he told the complete truth, giving Cheza no real reason to correct his story.°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° iNSPiRATiON; none word-count; ; [443]

Obey your masterThe mare looked at him, then looked away. Of course In your mind I don't have to. You think I'm your slave! She thought bitterly. Her fantasies would never be satisfied with Orpheus. She knew it wouldn't be a paradise with him, but she didn't care. It was always the cool, quiet, daring kid that got the girls. It seemed to be playing out that way, but so much more then just admiration. It was fascination, beyond the normal.
Snorting, she looked away. She knew that Orpheus would never be a calm, loving stallion like Bolin could be. But this was her own dreams. This was something that couldn't be bound down by elements, by herd mates alone. She looked at him as he walked off to speak with the new mare. She thought about sending Bolin an air message, but she decided not to. Let him decide how badly he wanted her back. He hated Orpheus. He didn't understand what she did. He was ignorant in a way that he only believed in light thoughts.
Or, perhaps she was the ignorant one. She was the one that had left happiness forever for this. Unless they drug her back, this was her home. For now. Her master plan was to teach him lighter ways and to take him to era lands, where he truly belonged. But, seeing as he was worse then she thought, it would take much longer.
And what will you do when they come? If they come? She said, turning to walk toward him and the other mare. The Master of puppets is pulling your strings

ORPHEUS °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Orpheus’s ears flicked as he heard Cheza speaking once more. His crown tilted as he turned it towards the Era mare. The paint colt fought of the sinister, blood-thirsty smirk that wanted to splash across his lips so desperately. For now, he would have to be on his best behavior, at least until he got all of the herd members on his side and saw to it that his plan was going to succeed. His plan was simple – kill Bolin, Marut, and Tuula. They were the enemies, and he had to set it up that way. While Orpheus was aware he could not make Cheza into thinking of them that way, he did know that she would be an important part of his plan that would cooperate well enough if he played his cards right. Putting on his poker face, the steed replied, “I will have to fight them. You did say you did not want to leave, didn’t you? And, I said you did not have to; surely, you must know that I am a prideful colt just as my brother and father… I would have to defend you, for you know they would be coming to regain you in the Era herd.” He mentioned nothing of seeking vengeance of his father’s life even though he thought it would help convince Desert Rose. He, too, knew that adding that might spur Cheza to foul his plans by mentioning his past distaste for his father. °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° iNSPiRATiON; none word-count; ; [245]

Lead me away..Sighing, she looked at him. Fight them. He was willing to fight and possibly kill his family. What had they done? Sure. Turned there backs on him, hated him. But that was only becuase of the way he acted. He wanted to be just like his sire, but worse. He was power hungry, he wanted everything. Don't. Touch. Them. She sneered, eyes narrowed and teeth bared. If she needed to force him into good ways, she would until there was nothing left in her to go on. Your better then that, right? Aren't you? She begged, her features still agressive. She wanted him to see her more then a brood for his herd. She wanted to be something more to him. She wanted him to experience life the way others could. She didn't understand.
Or leave me lying here.

Orpheus °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° The colt’s eyes were narrowed as Cheza demanded he not touch his family. His crown was turned away from both mares as she even began to plead that he was better than that. Was he? No. Orpheus truly was not better than that, and he had no intentions of changing his ways at the whim of a mare, even if it was one who struck him with such a curiosity. Now was not that time to show his cruelest intentions to Desert Rose though. So, he would put on an act. His head tossed towards the two, orbs focusing mainly on his Era counterpart. “Cheza, surely you must know they will come here expecting a fight. And, I know my brother as well as anyone else. He will fight me with no questions for my mother has told him that I have kidnapped you. I cannot just allow them to kill me without a fight. As much as you may not want to believe it Cheza, Bolin would kill me without a second thought if given the chance. Marut, too.” In the end, Orpheus was certain that all his words were true. The only act was in the calm manner that he expressed said words.°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° iNSPiRATiON; none word-count; ; [205] ' O°C | | Blech. She's an actress. The mare watched him as he put on his little act of kind disposition. Snorting, she sighed. What was so fantastic about this herd that made him want to stay? The vast Era lands where beautiful and peaceful, so much more relaxing. Surely, somewhere deep within him, his Era blood was calling out to him. If she could just urge him to see the lands, he'd never turn back. She knew that. Smiling a cocky little smile, she flicked her Morgan type head and picked up a lofty trot.
Sure, of course. And you are so very strong. Halting after trotting a few wide circles around him, she came to his muzzle. Hot breath tickled her whiskers, sending a shiver down to her spine. Why don't you just head down there, to the Era lands, and show them just how strong you are? Laughing lightly, she turned and walked away, her tail raised like an Arabian. She turned her head and smiled at him before flicking her tail and picking up a lofty trot, halting only to graze on a few strands of grass. But she ain't go no need.

ORPHEUS °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° There was an odd expression on the colt’s face as he felt the mare’s hot breath intertwining with his own. Ears lay flat against his skull as she made her cocky little remarks. Was she really willing to test his nerves once again today? He so badly wanted to lash out at the mare for her little show. However, he held his teeth from seeking her flesh by merely grinding them beneath his lips. Cunning little mare would test him in front of this other mare, the one who he was trying to sway onto his side. His ears perked slightly as he thought it over, was that what she was trying to do? If so, she might have a little darkness in her after all. Perhaps, the little Era wench could be turned into something useful afterall.
His orbs followed the mare as she paraded past him all so dantily, and he could not help but roll his eyes at her flaunting little trot. Although, he would be lying if he said he was not watching her bodice sway so elegantly with each move. Orpheus lied often though.
The colt summoned a scoff upon his face as he turned to face Cheza completely, “now why would I do that? Did I not just say I would be fighting them only to defend my herd and pride? Would it not be foolish of me to venture into the Era lands for an attack? They are the ones who have quarrel with me. If they stay out of my lands, I won’t bother them. Plus, I have not enough members to even think of staging such an onslaught.” Not yet.
Orpheus turned so that he could see one female from each eye, “speaking of not enough members, I am off to recruit more. I would much rather that the two of you not stray too far from the herd lands.” His icy blue gaze narrowed slightly as he spoke that. “Even with the changing seasons, there should be enough food to feed both of you as well as any others who have remained in the domains.” A slight tinge of curiosity shivered through the stag as he wondered who, if any others, remained in what used to be Hannibal’s land.°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Well Don't Try To Stop Me I'm Headed Straight To Hell Down iNSPiRATiON; [one love] [by aiden] word-count; ; [379]
