:.Flame.: Love is a battlefield~ She was taken aback for a moment by her suiter's obvious display of affection. Flame had never been shown the attention of other stags before. How odd that he was admitting it so early too. She felt her heart give a tug at the words as they passed through his kissers. I love you too. Her lyri were soft and tender, though hesitant at first.
Claws hit the familiar sod of Liberta and she knew instantly she was home. The familiar sights and smells enveloped her senses. Nares reached to the blue dome above and she could see the faint dots of birds soaring above. A squeel of joy passed throgh her pipe and she quickened her pace to a trot and then a canter. Peaks turning atop her crown all the while, listening for the footfalls of others besides their own. It was suddenly strange being back. She felt different. Deep indigo pools swept the horizon, again waiting for any sign of her herd mates. Perhaps Lassan, Polaris or Venom.

ceteaus ......... Unbridled joy caused Ceteaus's orbs to roll as he chuckled deep in his chest, charging after Flame. He felt almost giddy off her happiness; It was new to him. He had never experienced her joy. He slowed his pace to match her's, his strides long. He tossed his forelock from his face, sucking in a breath. The stag tasted the scents of the air on his tongue, taking note of the smell of equine. Ah, the must have entered the territory. Nervousness pricked his hide, but he forced it to lay flat. There is nothing to worry about, you mean well.

Venom The small brindle sighed, white tail dropping as she stood there. Depressed. But the sound of hoofbeats entered the area, head rose wearily. It was Flame, her adoptive foal. Slowly, the mare walked torwards her. 'hi dear. how are you?' Venom put on a fake smile. Ears flicked as another scent reached her nostrils. The cavallo looked up, seeing a stag. "Love You." The words stung so much. Bloodshot, pink eyes closed. But she had to be strong for Flame. 'who is this?' Soft voice asked as she looked to him. 'you take care of her, and i haven't a problem.' Soft vocals rang.

Polaris
The colt had been racing around the land with a fox he had befriended. He was glad to have somthing that could keep up with him at a canter, and enjoyed it as well. After a good hour of running around, he bid farewell to the ginger canine.
As he walked, he caught the scent of his mother, and his sister close by. Polaris pushed himself to a trot. As he neared, he caught the scent of another equine. A stag. One that he did not recognise. Who could it be and why was he here?
A few minutes later Polaris saw the trio of equines. He gave the other stag a curious look when he saw how he was looking at his sister. If he had a say so, he would say that the stag looked a bit infatuated with Flame. It kind of made Polaris jealous. She was his sister and he did want to protect her, especially since she was younger than he. He just wanted the best for her.
He huffed and walked up to them all, smiling at his mother, sister, and the new comer. "Hello." Polaris said to the new stag, eyeing him a bit. Hopefully his sister wouldn't be too mad at him for trying to protect her.
Lassan
A scent floated in the cool breeze, into Lassan's waiting nares. The ebony's crown shot up as his chocolate orbs looked around. His maw turned into a small sneer as he recognised the scent as another stag. These days, it was hard to find horses, especially stags who you could trust.
Lassan slowed his canter when he approached a group of four. He saw Flame, Polaris, the new stag, and Venom. He was surprised that Venom had even come back. After he had litterally run away from her, he was sure that she thought he hated her, or that she did something to make him leave. He didn't want that. But right now he needed to focus on who this stag was.
Lassan gave a smile and a nod to his two 'children' and glanced at Venom before facing the new stag. "Who are you?" he asked, wanting to know his business here.

:.Flame.: Love is a battlefield~ The dainty femme halted her footfalls when she spotted Venom. A peel of overjoyed laughter sprung from her maw as she trotted up to and then stopped next to her. I am good. Kissers spread wide in a blazing smile. It wasn't hard to notice that she was off, however. Concern replaced her doe-eyed occs. But she didn't have a chance to ask about it here. Gaze flitted to Ceteaus, but before she could introduce him, Polaris appeared. Another sensation of overflowing love took hold of her emotions and she greeted him with a whinny, playfully lipping at his auds. She also didn't miss the fact that he was concerned as to who the unfamiliar stag at her side was. Instead of being mad, she was suprised at how protective he was being and gave him a gentle smile.
Another set of hoofbeats sounded off in the distance. This was the figure she had known would be coming. Lassan. Heart pounded hard in her chest cavity, nervously awaiting his reaction. Facade was filled with a mix of guilt and happiness at seeing him again. Harks swerved back and forth, stopping to focus on the tone of Lassan's vocals. There were the vocals of a lead, firm and demanding. Though for now he didn't seem too angry. Could he tell where they had been? She didn't want to know yet. Keeping silent until Ceteaus answered his question, she glanced around at her family. Her heart beat with love for everyone of them.

ceteaus ......... The ivory stag stood just a step behind Flame, patiently waiting for who ever they were waiting for. First came a weary femme. He bid her hello, smiling gently. His heart tugged with pity, for she looked so forlorn. Yet she put on a convincing show of smiling. He chuckled, "I will." He said, diping his head to the fae. Next arrived a stag, perhapes as old as Ceteaus himself. As the brute sized him up, Ceteaus only met his gaze, a grin pulling at his kissers. His gaze was soft, and slightly humored. This stag must care for Flame. Her brother? "Hello." He greeted again. Ceteaus would wait to introduce himself until the lead, and Flame's father, arrived. He did not have to wait long. The large stag did not greet him, only spoke the question that was already brewing in all the horse's minds. "I am Ceteaus." He paused. They would want more than that... "I seek membership in this herd." He spoke to the lead stag now, "Flame carries our foal, and I would like to see him born." Yes, Ceteaus hoped it was a colt. He also hoped Lassan approved of him. He kept his radairs pushed foreward in a friendly manner, his gaze even.

Venom Bloodshot eyes opened again as he announced her daughter was pregnant. Venom glared once at her daughter, out of disappointment, before leaving.
The pregnant mare sighed, looking down as she walked away from the small group. Her daughter was pregnant. Venom picked up into a canter, wanting to get farther away from it all. Just.. Life. The night herd was rising. She could leave and go there. Polaris could follow if he wanted. But she didn't want to endanger the foal inside her or leave her grandchild. But... She didn't see anything in this herd. Or have to see Lassan again after he hurt her. [/blockquote] Muse` Awesome for my little girl! (: Song`None Character` Venom

Polaris
A grin made it's way onto Polaris' still rather young looking features as his sister greeted him by nipping at his audits. He whuffled back and tugged on her mane. Even though she was a few months younger than him, she sure appeared to be at least a year older if not more. Maybe it was because she was so tall. Had she inherited that from her sire, who ever he was?
Polaris looked up as he heard the sound of hooves drumming on the hardening turf. He saw a black mass with banners held high coming at them; his father. Of course, Lassan had probably caught the scent of the new comer and had to investigate, especially since the new comer was a stag. Polaris still wasn't sure about him either, but for now he seemed like he didn't mean any harm to Flame or the rest of the herd.
The colt greeted his father with a quick glance and a small smile. Polaris' attention snapped back to the new stag when he returned the greeting. Polaris was still curious, whay was he here and what did he want?
Polaris' questions were soon answered. The stag dubbed himself as Ceteaus, and he sought to be a member of the Liberta group. The small smile went back on Polaris' face. Good a new memeber. The smile faltered when Ceteaus told the reason for his wanting membership; Flame was pregnant, with his foal. The colt's auds went back slightly as he looked from Ceteaus to Flame and back to Ceteaus again. How could he have done this to her? Of course, Polaris knew, it was also Flame's fault, but she was so very young and hadn't been on the earth for more than two years. Why would she get herself into something like this? Now Polaris was of course going to accept it, for she was his sister and best friend and he loved her.
The colt looked to his mother, only to see her canter away. Polaris froze for a moment and then took off after his mother, wanting to make sure that she'd be okay.
Lassan
Lassan remianed focused on the new stag. What was he doing here with his 'daughter'? Lassan snorted, lifting his crown a bit waiting for his reply. The black's auds flicked as he greeted Polaris and then turned to him.
Ceteaus was his name. Lassan gave a slight nod in greeting and said "Lassan." giving his own calling. Ceteaus then said he was loking for membership into the herd. Lassan eyed him for a minute and said "We are always looking for new members for Liberta. I'd like to welcome you."
Lassan htought that that was going to be that until the new stag spoke once again. He told Lassan that Flame was pregnant with his foal. Lassan's orbs narrowed, their focus; Flame. How could she? She wasn't even an adult yet. Lassan laid his ears back, just like Polaris had done as he looked ot the sire. Ceteaus would remain with his foal and his mate. Lassan would make sure of it.
Now it sounded a little dakr for Lassan, by he be damned, it was his daughter! Even though she wasn't his blood, he loved her like she was. Lassan felt all the blame was to Ceteaus for doing this to his girl. The black was dissappointed in Flame, but it wasn't like her mother was any better. No, he souldn't think like that. It was wrong.
Lassan closed his robs and took a deep breath before opening his eyes again. He now had a clamer complexion. He gave both of the young equines a stern look, before looking up and seeing Venom canter away, Polaris chasing after her. As if he didn't have enough problems already.

:.Flame.: Love is a battlefield~ Flame's heart clutched in her throat as Ceteaus read back the reason for him wanting to join the herd. Wavering gaze first caught the reaction of her mother, pure disappointment. She then turned and cantered off, leaving the disappointment in her wake for Flame to deal with. Her bravado wavered for a moment, really thinking about what she had just done. She was young to be a mom.
However, she wasn't sure which gaze between the two members of her family left hurt her the most. Polaris looked as if he had been betrayed, yet she still saw his unwavering love and loyalty for her. It comforted her somewhat that he might still love her after this. The last thing she had wanted to do was disappoint her brother, whom she had looked to for guidance and comfort most of her life. Hesitantly, she peeked at Lassan. His intense occs accusing and saddened. Not unlike Venom's. Polaris had taken off after his mother, which Flame understood. When she looked back to Lassan, after gazing at Polaris's retreating form, he had composed himself once more. The face of the leader of the herd.
She was so stupid for bringing this on him. This would only be more for him to worry about. Internally she chastised herself. How could she have been so stupid? Going out and looking for love so young. And to get pregnant in the process. Now she was responsible for the life of another barely younger than her. A piece of her did love Ceteaus, but she had always belonged to her adopted family here in Liberta. Suddenly she wished that she hadn't gone and been so stupid. Dome hung close to the ground, partly out of shame and disappointment in herself. Banner hung limp for once. She expressed no sign of her usual bubbly and perky personality. She didn't know what to say. Nothing could have possibly made what she did right, so she would let whatever would happen come. Lids blinked back the tears that threatened to pour out onto the rich soil of the terra.

ceteaus ......... The stag's jaw clenched at Venom's reaction. For a fleeting moment, Ceteaus's ears rang, a sick feeling grabbing at his gut. How utterly stupid he had been to announce the news of Flame's pregnancy. Next Polaris spirited off after his mother. A genuine guilt weighed heavy on Ceteaus. He felt unwanted here, and misplaced. His peeked a glance at Lassan, drawing back involunteeringly as he caught the flat expression of the stag. Ceteaus stood as a solitary island, his muscles taut; gaze glazed over. The stag's lips were pressed into a tight line, and he was grateful for the clumps of forelock that slightly hid his expression. Ceteaus was at lose for words. Even Flame seemed to be having second thoughts. His emotions lurged, and his amber eyes darkened a shade in fury. Ceteaus would not admit to his foolishnes. He should leave, he knew this, yet reason kept him here. It would be poor of him to run off now.

That stag's eyes remained glued to his daughter. Why did things like this always happen to him? At least he could be thankful that no one was dead....... yet. Lassan knew he wasn't going to kick Flame or Ceteaus out of the herd. Times were too hard to do such a thing like that, and Lassan didn't have the heart.
His orbs slowly made thier way over to Ceteaus. If he was the father of Flame's foal liek he had said, then he wasn't going to leave the herd. Lassan would make sure of that. Yes it sounded a little dark for a kind hearted equine like Lassan, but he had been through too much heartbreak and he didn't want his daughter to suffer in any way like he had. Ceteaus was going to stay. Plus, once he saw past the whole getting his daughter pregnant thing and waltzing into the land like he belonged here, Ceteaus was a nice young lad and Lassan could grow to like him. Maybe.
After several agonising minutes of silence, Lassan's vocals broke into the cool air. "Flame, why don't you introduce Ceteaus to some of the other herd members so they know who he is." he said to his daughter. "I have some business to attend to, and I will talk to the both of you later." he said, giving a stern looked to the young couple. He would've stayed and said more, but he had to go and find Polaris and Venom. These were not the times to be running amok on the island.

:.Flame.: Love is a battlefield~ Minute after agonizing minute ticked by. The emotional mare trembled with guilt. She flinched as he spoke again, ready for an outpouring of "how she could have done this to him?" and "how could she have been so stupid?" But that wasn't what came forth after he had finished thinking. Introducing Ceteaus into the herd must mean that he would allow him to stay then. That was probably for the best in the long run. She had missed out on getting to know either one of her parents and she certainly didn't want the same fate for their foal. Her stomach rolled at the thought...it was so strange to think that she was pregnant. Realizing she hadn't replied to Lassan, her quieted vocals met the air, Thank you, Lassan. I understand that you have things to do. With a bow of her crania she turned and walked silently away from the one father figure in her life. A ginormous burden seemed to be settled atop her whithers, as if she was only just now noticing it and she once again suppressed the urge to cry.
