May it be an evening star Shines down upon you May it be when darkness falls Your heart will be true You walk a lonely road Oh! How far you are from home
My gray daggers tapped the earth as I trotted into the valle. I knew what I looked like trotting in. I was gray and white and I hated how ordinary I was. Being ordinary tended to make me get overlooked, which I hated. I loved being the center of attention. To bad it didn't happen often. I sighed as I slowed to a walk and tried to find a good spot to stand. Somewhere close to the center of the valle. Not dead center because than I would seem stuck up. I may be a lot of things but a snob is not one of them. Finally I decided on a spot about ten feet to the left of the middle.
I smiled and debated whether or not to make a quiet noise. I knew mares did that to get noticed, and I needed to be noticed. I hated being alone, I hated having to make decisions on my own. I needed to talk to people or I go a little crazy. Making up my mind I opened my maw and let our nicker, hopefully not sounding to desperate. I closed my eyes and imagined what it will be like. Finding a home, or maybe even my Batman(who wants a prince when they can have a hero?) Slowly I lost myself in a wonderful daydream, forgetting about the real world.
Mornie utli (darkness has come) Believe and you will find your way Mornie alanti (darkness has fallen) A promise lives within you now
ooc:may it be is her theme song. It is such a haunting but beautiful song. Got to love Lord of the Rings!!

a young colt was wandering the Valle, being by himself showed he was orphaned.he was trying his luck at being accepted into a herd but since he was a stag without a mother his chances were slim.and since he was young his chances of survival were just as a slim chance.he was also trying to look for an adoptive mom if possible,he was past a years age so he was weaned, all he needed was guidance and the warmth and love of a mare to keep him alive through the next winter, but would anyone take him in or would he die?the only good thing for him if he died was that he would see he mother again.

The ebony baron snorted as he wandered through Belle Valle. Since his herd had been captured by Valle De Morte's old leader, Quixtant, last year, he was almost living her. Striving to get his herd back up to where it had been. And he was atleast getting somewhere. He already had three mares and his Goddess and mate, Magic. Daggers crunched the dead turf beneath him. He flared his nostrils, and caught scent of a mare. He loped over to where she was. Halting, he watched her for a moment. Her graceful moves, petite neck and compact build would not make her a good broodmare, as he only wanted strong and cunning mares to produce the best foals fit for war.
But she could have some place. He knew he would claim her. She had potential to be a good Dark, and perhaps earn a rank as Warrior, although he doubted it with her build. Babysitter! Yes. He knew it wouldn't sound to appealing, but it was a job that needed done. His mares, espiecally Magic, could not be with there foals 24 seven. Not now, with all this war and such soon to happen.
He cantered over and bowed his head to her. "Hello, mare. I am Carzeth, Lord of Terra De Scure, a vast land housing Dark equines." He said simply.

Well this was a surprise, one that she never excepted to happen. A poor little colt was wandering by himself. She loved little ones, and this poor thing seemed to be alone. She knew he needed someone to help him. She slowly trotted up to him and nickered a greeting. Hello little one, My name is Ghost. What are you doing all alone? Ghost was still pondering over the colt when the sounds of hoof beats came closer to her. She looked up in time to see a black stag bowing his head to her. She snorted in surprise and positioned herself so that she was in front of the colt. She didn't know if he was dangerous or not, but he was a Dark so she had to be careful. She studied the stag, cautious. Hello Carzeth, They call me Ghost. She replied a little coolly. She didn't quite know what to think of him yet. She didn't warm up to horses quickly even if she told herself that this time was going to be different, she was going to be more open minded.

The large black nodded. He watched as the mare turned her attention to the parentless colt. It was just like a mare to have feelings for young. Perhaps if this mare agreed to live in his herd, he could raise the colt to be one of his own. He needed new members badly. I do hope you will come. Our darks are not that dark, and we have a very nice Light mare, Jessrene, there. Please come to my lands with me. He said simply.
And bring the colt, if you wish.

the young colt stopped and glanced toward the sound of the greeting nicker.he watched as the mare by the name of ghost come over and ask why he was alone,he nickered softly back to her his answer to her question was "my mother became ill 9 months after my birth.she fought for life the next 5 torturing weeks.i watched as she closed her eyes and drew her last breath, then i left to fend for my self" he said innocent but dark honey eyes glazed over with sadness over the memory" after replying to ghost's question he looked to the direction of the approaching stag and watched as ghost moved in front of him.he listened silently as the stag invited them both into his herd.the colt would only go if ghost went,he felt safe around her.

I smiled not really needing to think about the answer. Of course I will come with you. Having a home would be lovely, Thank you. I bowed my head and than turned to the little foal. Oh what a terrible time you must of had. I would be honored to look after you. I always wanted a foal of my own. Even if he wasn't mine in blood, I knew that I would love him as if he was my own. He was so little, yet he has seen terrible things. She prayed that it would not affect his outlook on life.
ooc: I'm so sorry it took so long.
