And I wouldn't have it any other way.With an alarmed whinny, he watched her helplessly as she fell to the solid ground. If he had hands, this would have been the perfect time to use them. But he didn't. He would have ran after the vile stallion if the ashen and sienna femme hadn't just collapsed. He was greatly worried that the beast had taken the life out of her. Luckily, she was visibly breathing, and you could see her banner waving. He looked down at her, and lowered his muzzle to her neck. With a light, muffled snort, he looked up at her face. Her chasms were hazy and unfocused. Her pelt, wet with perspiration and bodily fluid, looked pitiful.
That's when he could finally tell that she was actually looking at him. Not through him. She spoke one word, and it just so happened to be his calling. Lightly nuzzling her, he spoke quietly to her ears. "I love you." Night

baby, you save me | Her ears flicked slightly, listening to Night speak. Why hadn't he been here earlier? Lifting her head up off the ground again, Malifex flared her nostrils ever so slightly. "Night .. we have to get back to Liberta." Her voice was weak, as she folded her legs under her, trying to push her body up. But, the strength the warrior normally had seemed to have drained from her body. Eyes looked on helplessly, and she rested upon the ground again, about to give up.

Hit me like a ray of sun,When the petite warrior spoke, Night shook his obsidian tassels vigorously. It was clear to the stag that she didn't have the energy left in her to make it back to Liberta. She couldn't even stand up! Malifex attempted to get back up, and he looked at her with concerned, amber orbs. It pained him to see her fall back down again.
He stood up straight and looked around, scouting the area for anymore nasty stallions. He nickered, then decided what he'd do. "You can sleep, Malifex. I'll stay awake to make sure you're safe. Don't worry." With that, he touched her maw once, then quickly looked around. The Friesian took a few steps, and then haulted. Once the mare slept for a while, she would have the strength to walk back to their herd. Once in their lands, everything would be okay. Or so the Beta hoped.Burning through my darkest
