Centibo marched into the land, his neck arched, head up, tail placed high and proud, waving in the slight breeze. He let out a deafening, throaty neigh and reared up, summoning all who were to join his land.
He had so far summoned Batalla, and Linus and Muse came on their own to his land. Batalla he came with, Linus had entered on his own...
------------------------------------------- [River's Post for Linus] Linus came into the Tierra de Passione at a rushed Gallop. His strides where not well placed, but were very rushed. His golden colored coat was flecked with a great amount of sweat, like he had been running for quite a long time, and indeed he had been. He had come 3 miles from the nearest valley,The Valley of Fallen Stars. The valley had been taken over by rogues, and Linus had made the hurried choice to leave. The choice was not a easy one, but it was one that had to be made. He eased himself to a walk, and then walked into a grove of trees.
Not far behind Linus a Dark Bay shape was hiding in the brush of Tierra De Passione. His name was Muse, and he too had come from The Valley of Fallen Stars, but Muse had come for a different reason. Muse was a wanderer, and had followed Linus from The Valley of Fallen Stars. Muse had been notorious for following equine of various types, and this had made him get lost several times. Muse brought himself out of his hiding place, and he started off at a slow, and curious walk down the path made by Linus.

The dust grey mare had followed Centibo in his lands. She had wandered off for a few minutes to get a drink and then she made her way back to Centibo. He had told her that ttheir was going to be a gathering of herd members soon. Batalla began to wonder ow many were in his herd. Was it just her and him? Or were there a lot more?
When she found Centbo, she saw two other stags with him, a gold one and a dark bay. She snorted and kept her head high, not wanting the flicker of fear in her eyes to show. "Hello." she said nodding her head to the three of them.

Centibo stood tall and proud, facing the woods, awaiting all others who wanted to join his herd. He knew they would come. --Low Muse

Carefully and slowly, Linus approached Centibo. Linus was very carefully around other stallions, particularly ones he didn't know. He bowed graciously, and said "I am Linus, from The Valley of Fallen Stars." Linus sighed, and then thought Does he know about what happened in the valley? I certainly hope he doesn't..Surely he would understand that I was forced to leave....
Muse held up his elegant head. He walked with power, and regal-ness,and showed he was not afraid to get into a fight. He saw Linus, and snorted harshly. Why does this stag bow? I have never bowed to the God ever.I do not see the need to.But then again, It is a sign of respect, which I have none for any horse.Especially other stallions.. Muse walked up beside Linus, and and only tipped his head slightly. "I am Muse." was all Muse said. Not a bow, just a slight head tip.

Centibo nodded at Linus, unaware of the Valley of the Fallen Stars and what had happened there.
"Very well," he said.
He nodded as Muse approached and introduced himself. "Pleasure, I am Centibo, of Passione."
He then looked around at the two stag, leaving the vix for last.
He reared up slightly and squealed.
"Now, all listen, please. If this is to be my herd, it is to be MY herd. I am not trying to sound offensive; nay, but I will NOT tolerate dominance within the herd. Yes, I must admit, it is directed to the two stag here, but applies to all. There will BE no "change of lead" here. I am your leader now, and if you don't accept that, you may now leave," he finished, looking expectantly at all horses now. He meant no sign of violence and intended to keep the peace within his herd, but he did mean what he said.
He looked slightly longer at Muse, noticing he didn't take respect as well.

Saratoga Saratoga saw off Centibo off in the distance, accompanied by three horses. So he had found some for the herd after all. She smiled and with great difficulty, raised her enormous bodice off the ground. Pillars stretched out and angled upward so that she stood, though somewhat awkwardly due to the size of her belly. Pace quickened from a walk to a slow trot, shortening the distance between them. Harks picked up the sound of his authoritative voccs and she smiled again. He would make a great lead stallion. Optics glanced at the accompanying equines, one mare and two stags.
She finally reached the group and stood next to Centibo, nuzzling his shoulder. Good to have you back m'dear. Kissers whispered next to him.

Centibo smiled joyously and trotted grandly up to his Goddess and licked her muzzle several times tenderly.
"And your Goddess, Saratoga!" he announced grandly, nudging her belly slightly.
"And how are you, m'dear?" he whispered to her, peering at her belly. "Everything alright?" --No muse, sorry.

Batalla yed the two stags as they approached Centibo. She quietly moved behind Centibo as he went to greet the two other stags. The first stag, the golden one, introduced himself as Linus. He seemed nice enough. The next stag, the dark bay, introduced himself as Muse. Batalla wasn't all to sure about the one called Muse, but she'd have to give it a chance. After all, it was her hom now too.
Another equine then came over to the group. It was another vixen and she seemed heavy with foal. A sad smile came to Batalla's face as she reembered Diez, her colt who had tragically lost his life not to long ago.
From the way the vixen greeted Centibo, Batalla figured that she was the stag's mate. That was confirmed when Centibo introduced her as the Goddess Saratoga. Batalla walked closer to the two stags and Saratoga. "Pleasure to meet you all." she said with a small nod of her crown. "My calling is Batalla."

Saratoga Saratoga smiled and nudged Centibo back, lipping his cheek, tenderly. I am wonderful, love. A little tired, but I am good. Optics glanced at him as he nudged and peered at her belly. Should be soon... She guessed. Carrying around all this weight was going to permanently damage her legs, she thought and then chuckled. Her attetion was drawn to the others as a femme came up and introduced herself as Batalla. Pleasure to meet you, welcome. Voccs replied with a great smile.
The foal shifted somewhat, though it was a miracle she could move at all with how big she had gotten, and Saratoga gave a low umph. If you all would excuse me, I'm just going to go lie down for a while. Optics glanced to Centibo and she smiled at them all before retreating back to the spot she had been in and layed down. Her head rested upon the bed of leaves that covered the ground.

Centibo smiled at Saratoga.
"Of course, love, relax," he murmured, nudging her before she left.
"Now, everyone; Batalla, Linus, Muse; please make yourselves at home. You may find an area you wish to be your main sleeping quarters. It should be just to the west of this field somewhere," he gestured with a jerk of his nose to one side of the large field, "Where Saratoga and myself will be stationed in the middle of all. Please, once again, make yourselves at home and be comfortable."
With one more nod, he galloped off to the west side of the field. He had picked that side because it had longer, warm grass and a denser tree cover than the east side. He looked around. He smiled as he saw a small opening in the dense forest. Soft, 2 foot high emerald grass framed the clearing, where within further that the grass gradually was cut shorter, being at the shortest 3 inches. All around in almost a perfect circle, about 20 yards in diameter, were thick, tall, fragrant pine trees. The smell was relaxing and appealing. A soft wind stirred the beautiful grass and sang through the trees in delicate whispers.
"This shall be our place," he murmured, speaking of him and Saratoga. He quickly galloped to where Saratoga had been laying down for about 10 minutes now.
"So sorry to be of a bother, love, but I would like to move you to our now permanent sleeping quarters. It is much more comfortable and relaxing than this crunchy pile of dead leaves. Come now, love," he murmured as he nudged her gently with his muzzle to wake her up.

Saratoga Orbs opened to the sound and touch of her mate. Harks caught something about sleeping quarters that were better than where she was currently laying. Dome nodded and she proceeded to climb up off the ground. A sharp pain in her back stopped her for a moment, but it went away as quick as it had come. She had thought nothing of it and stood next to him, nuzzling his shoulder. Pillars took steps forward, waiting for Centibo to lead the way over to where he wanted her. Another pain flashed across her backside and in her abdomen. This was it and she knew it. Love, can we get there rather quickly? Pain etched in her facade. Orbs looked into his for reassurance.

Centibo sucked in a quick breath but nudged her and nodded excitedly, beginning to walk faster towards the place. He helped her there and lay down and watched carefully, as if he should do something.

Saratoga A sigh escaped her maw as her large bodice slid to the ground. Centibo was right, this would be more comfortable than that patch of leaves. She rolled over onto her side and lay her head down on the ground, but shifted so that she could keep Centibo in her line of sight. Another rippling pain sent shockwaves through her and she cringed, nares flaring. Each contraction was more debilitating.
After an hour of suffering through the pain and discomfort. Two tiny hooves could be seen protruding from the essa's sweat covered bodice. Saratoga let out a grunting whinny and worked the foal out. She was a rather large foal, which left more work for her to do, but it soon came out onto the grass. Free of the extra weight, Saratoga looked up and immediately reached out to the tiny one. Pink ribbon worked feverishly to detach her foal from its casing. The little foal began moving and made a couple small nickers, to which Saratoga replied with a whuffle. Orbs shown with pride and excitement, though she was still tired from the birth.

Centibo cringed with her as another contraction pained her. He stayed close by her side, talking to her soothingly, throughout the birth, and when finally the foal laid on the ground, he smiled and nudged it gently with his nose.
His eyes shone with pride as he nudged the foal again, looking lovingly to Saratoga and back to Soraya.

Saratoga Saratoga met his gaze and she could sense that he felt the same excitment that she did. Cramped pillars slowly folded out from underneath her and raised her, now lighter, bodice up. Soraya still lay on the bed of grass beneath her, but Saratoga was soon coaxing her to get up as she had. Maw nuzzled her tiny bodice. Nares took in her baby's scent, a perfect blend of hers and Centibo's. Soraya struggled with her gangly limbs, faltering to the ground time and time again. With each fall, Saratoga let out a small gasp, worried that her precious little miracle would hurt herself in the process, but motherly instincts told her that she was doing fine. Soraya was finally able to stand up without toppling over like a sack of potatoes and Saratoga beamed with pride, turning to Centibo, huge smile pulling at the edges of her kissers. Their filly took a few of her first steps, already in search of her mother's milk. Saratoga adjusted her position and Soraya was soon sucking eagerly. Again Saratoga turned to Centibo and nuzzled his nape.
